It's not just snowflakes anymore.

There's a full snowstorm.

I can barely see what's happening, the harshness of the snow is making me weaker, too.

I'm lying beside the girl, her eyes are closed but I stare at her. She's barely breathing and I'm sure that if I were to touch her heart, I won't be able to feel the beating of it.

𝘼 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚?

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙢 𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚?

I've tried pulling the girl forward, I've tried holding her hand and urging her to move but it didn't work.

She wouldn't move.

𝙒𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙖𝙙 𝙫𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙.

𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚, 𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣'𝙩 𝙬𝙚?

𝙒𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙤.

I reach to hold her hand again.

One of them is buried under the snow and half of her body is sinking into it, too. But her hand, the one I've used to pull her, is still on top of the blanket of snow.

I take it and hold it tightly.

𝙄𝙛 𝙄'𝙫𝙚 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣, 𝙄 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚.

I slowly and weakly raise, trying to stand up with every force I have in me. Maybe if I try again, I can move her. Maybe we can actually leave. I know there's no time left, I know we ran out of it.

But I have to try.
