He slept like an asshole.

Tommy laughed quietly to himself, imagining how much Ranboo had to put up with it now that they were sharing a room.

He glanced at the clock, realizing it was well past midnight. He should probably go to bed too. Just one more episode.

((Time skip a few hours))

((Y/n POV))

Y/n woke up, sitting up groggily on the couch. He rubbed his eyes, looking around the room and quickly spotting Tommy. Seemed he'd fallen asleep leaning against the end of the couch. He looked so much less on edge when he slept.

Y/n stood up, deciding that watching his friend sleep for more than a few seconds was weird, and checked the time. It was already 3 in the afternoon. He'd adjusted to the time in Florida, where it was closer to10 in the morning if his math was right. Fuck timezones.

He crouched next to Tommy, wondering if he should just let him sleep. Nah.

"Wake up," he whispered, gently shaking his shoulders.

Tommy sat up with a start, almost banging their heads together.

"Fuck, it's just you. You scared me," he said, rubbing his head.

"Thought you'd want to wake up. It's like 3." He pulled his binder over his head, tucking it under his shirt to put it on. He'd taken it off before bed, being the first to go to sleep in the early hours of the morning.

"3? Shit," Tommy stood up, pushing his hair out of his face. Y/n tried not to laugh as some of it stayed straight up. "Are the other two up yet?"

"I don't know, I just woke up." He glanced at the hall. "Why?"

Tommy was already fully awake, but seemed to be thinking about something pretty hard. "Can I talk to you about something?"

Y/n shrugged. "Can you?"

"Asshole," Tommy laughed. "Just wanted to ask if you-"

"Good morning!" Tubbo said as he walked from their room to the kitchen. "Was waiting for you two to finally wake up. I'm gonna make breakfast."

"Oh, thank you," Tommy turned to Y/n, gesturing with a tilt of his head to take the conversation to another room. He closed the door behind them once they'd reached his room. "Sorry about the mess."

The 'mess' mainly took the shape of a couple of stacks of clothes on the floor and was pretty easy to step over and around.

"What's up?" Y/n sat on the edge of his bed. It was a bit odd, the last time they'd been together like this he'd been fresh off of an anxiety attack at Wilbur's house. His mind was already running with what Tommy had to ask that he couldn't say around the other two, but he bit his tongue to give Tommy a chance to bring it up himself. Tommy not making him say it was part of what made him decide to come out that day.

"Wilbur thinks I'm jealous of Ranboo just because they're with Tubbo," he finally said. "I'm not, I have no reason to be, but he was so sure," he scratched the back of his head. "I've never really dated anyone, but I've never thought of Tubbo like that."

"I'm sorry, I think I'm missing a few details here," Y/n pinched the bridge of his nose, furrowing his eyebrows. "What are you trying to ask?"

"How did you know you were trans?" Tommy asked, playing with his hands nervously. "I know it's not the same thing, but I've always just assumed I was straight. What if Wil was right?"

Oh. Oh.

"Maybe I can help?" Y/n offered.

"Please," Tommy sighed. "You know so much more about all of this than I do. I just don't get what's happening to me, every time I see that... look he has when he looks at Ran, it's like there's bugs all over me."

Y/n took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

"We'll figure out what that means in a minute, for now, are you not straight?" he asked, trying to fit the pieces together in his head.

"I'm definitely not into guys," Tommy replied. "Unless it's just one, but even then I don't want to kiss him or anything."

"What about girls?" Y/n crossed his legs on the bed. It was getting to be a proper sleepover, now. Talking about who they liked and everything.

"I mean, no, but maybe I just haven't found the right one yet."

"Let me get this straight," Y/n laughed at the irony of the word. "Are you actually interested in either?"

Tommy shrugged.

"Do you know what aromantic means?"

"Do you know what aromantic means?"
