You sniffled, putting your hand over hers. You couldn't just stand there, you both knew who to go after now.
—
As you approached the dock where the Ilu saddles were located, you noticed Neteyam and Lo'ak engaged in a heated conversation. Neteyam had a tight grip on Lo'ak's arm. Your siblings and Rotxo were by your side. Once you and your group reached the dock, you quickly dismounted your Ilu and stepped onto it.
"Lo'ak!" Tsireya calls out. "Get off me." He pulled his arm out of Neteyam's grasp and without hesitation, Lo'ak dove into the water.
"Lo'ak!" Neteyam yells to his brother, Tsireya called out to him once again after. Neteyam smacks your brother's shoulder and then looks at you. "Come on, he's going to Payakan."
As the five of you moved swiftly, you called out to your Ilu and dove into the water. Holding onto the saddles tightly, you swam with purpose.
As you followed Lo'ak, Tsireya shouted for him to return. Kiri and Tuk, who were riding the same Ilu, joined in the calls for him, but he ignored them and increased his speed. "Lo'ak's going to find Payakan!" Neteyam informs them, Kiri now joining you and everyone else, taking Tuk with her.
You tried to swim faster, there was no point in calling for him from your distance now, turning to look at your sister who had worried enough for Lo'ak. It upset you that he was so naive and reckless.

Lo'ak began to approach the large Tulkun, with the group not too far behind still calling for him. He continued to ignore them, speaking to his spirit brother, "What is it? What's wrong?"
The Tulkun turned itself over, revealing that same strange object Jake held before, pinned into its side. It made a constant beeping noise.
Lo'ak moved himself on top of Payakans side, "stay calm! stay calm! I got this."
The Tulkun emitted cries of pain as the object caused it discomfort. Lo'ak attempted to remove it, but was unable to do so. Ahead, he spotted a ship belonging to The Sky People.
The group finally made it close, dismounting their Ilu's. Lo'ak hurried for Neteyam to help, Y/N and Tsireya rushing onto the Tulkun to assist the Tulkun.
-., 2nd pov
"Hurry the ships coming!" Lo'ak shouted to Neteyam, who was staring at the large machine floating on top of the water. You and Tsireya both were surprised and amazed by the ship, but you had to act quickly to help. You knelt down to start pulling at the object, but it wouldn't budge.
"Call dad! Call dad! Just go, do it!" Neteyam yelled to Lo'ak, he looked at him for a few seconds and then hopped right onto the Tulkun, pressing a strange device that you had noticed around the family's neck, which they used to communicate though you had never directly asked about it.
While Lo'ak called for his father, you were frustrated trying to free the Tulkun from the uncomfortableness of the pin.
"All of us, Ao'nung, Y/N, and Tsireya too. We're at Three Brothers Rocks."
"It's getting closer!" Tsireya yelled, causing you to shift your focus from the Tulkun to the approaching enemy ship. Taking a deep breath, you refocused on the task at hand. Neteyam counted down, "3, 2, pull!"
—
Neteyam tied a rope around the pin, then to his Ilu, guiding the Ilu to swim forward which would initially pull at the pin.
Alongside that, the group continued to pull as well.
"Pull harder!" Tsireya yelled, seeing as the enemy ship was approaching quickly. "Pull!"
With a couple more tugs, the pin finally ripped out of the Tulkuns side. The amount of force you all were giving it, bouncing back to you as you all fell into the water.
"It's out! Kiri! It's out!" Tuk yells to her older sister, Kirk rushing her to go onto her Ilu.
