Monster problems pt1

One day, me, my sister, and a bunch of my childhood friends were reunited on a bus. We don't know how, we don't know why, we just were. The bus is driving, and we're all just teleported on, and sitting next to who we used to sit next to in elementary school. We were all wearing the same uniform, a black, orange, and purple sci-fi/ military esq uniform with a single pocket, and a belt holding a ton of black discs in each belt pocket. It was me as a window seat, AR next to me, JB and LL in front of me, and my sister and all the rest of the people in other seats scattered around the bus. The bus pulls out of my neighborhood, and the bus driver starts talking. " Welcome new monster cadets! You will be catching monsters today, using these specialized monster discs! You will be given 300 of them, and whoever catches the most, and whoever's monster team is highest level by the end of this week, will get a prize! You can form teams, but there has to be at least two teams. Oh and, whoever doesn't have at least 150 by the end, well.... Let's just say you won't be seeing them for..... the rest of your life. Tee-hee!" The bus driver turns back around, but before he does, I see his eyes turn a molten orange. My heart skips a beat, and I think that this psychopath might have powers. Great, that's all I need right now, a lunatic with superpowers. I have to find a way to Finnish this task, investigate this crazy dude, and at the same time try not to let anyone see me use my papers at the same time. I enter my objectives onto my quest list, having it show me whenever I look at my wrist. I tap the invisible keyboard on my wrist, hovering over my silver wrist gauntlet with the keyboard only seeable when you have my glasses on, and it shows completed on the screen. I adjust myself in the seat, which clearly was meant for smaller people. I end up bumping my shoulder into AR, making me jump a bit. "Sorry! I didn't mean to hit you, it's just the seats are a bit-" I stutter to a stop, my face becoming even more and more red hot. AR had exchanged his glasses for contacts, and his once timid and nerdy physique had become a well cared for and slightly ripped one, but the one thing that hadn't changed as much was his face. His slightly red face, looking me dead in the eyes. "It's ok, these seats are a bit tight for us. Wow, you've changed a lot." My face turns a brighter shade of red, and I say "well yeah, how long has it been? Ten years? Ever since you moved, I have been trying to contact you, but I guess I don't have to look so hard anymore. Can we exchange phone numbers or discords?" I say, waiting a second, then say, "we don't have to if you don't want to, I just want to keep in contact. Sorry, we don't have to." I say, looking at the floor. " I'm fine with both, do you want to give me yours, or should I give you mine?" He says, and we exchange contact details. (No way I'm sharing though). Once we do that, I ask AR if he'd like to be a team with me. He says sure, and I ask my sister and LL if they want to join our team. They agree, and I start thinking of a battle plan. This is our lives that maniac is bargaining with. And I don't plan on losing anyone to the hands of the molten eyed man. (WIP name) "Hey -Jade, what are those silver things on your wrists? They look cool, but why do you wear metal?" AR asks, and I say "I was in a pretty bad accident a little while ago, and they are something that I have to wear now, as well as a back brace. See?" I pull down the top of my shirt in the back, showing the top of my back brace/tail combo. "That's intense. Sorry about the accident." He responds, and I reply "it's ok, it's not like you caused it. Plus, it's not that bad, though I do hate the looks of pitty people give me once I tell them about it. And anyway, I think the wrist bracers and my back brace look kinda cool. " I shrug, showing a smile, and AR smiles a bit at my nonchalant attitude. I turn back in the bus, to where my sister and LL had switched seats to join us. JB had teamed up with CE, SE, and AJ in the seats next to us. I tell our group my battle plan, being that we would split up in groups of two, me and AR in one team and my sister with LL, and we would try to catch as many high power monsters for our team. We would keep the less powerful ones as spare points. I volunteered me and AR to scout the east side of the area, while my sister and LL scouted west. We would meet back and search north and south, hopefully being able to describe a map and where monsters spawn the most. The bus had gone somewhere completely different, and was now FLYING over a large island. The molten eyed man gets on the intercom and says "looks like we're at monster Island everyone! If you will all say 'map', you will be able to see the map. If you shake hands with someone, those people will join your team. Teammates will help your map, and exp will be shared among your whole team's monsters. There will be heal stations and disc stops to get stronger and better discs with your battle points, as well as a shop to make your team stronger. Go get those monsters! Oh and, try not to die. Hehehehe!" We split up into our groups, and prepare to exit the bus, which had landed in the middle of the island. The originally yellow, and now spray painted black, orange, and purple bus with airplane like wings, would've reminded me of the magic school bus if it was still yellow. When we were getting out, I noticed a small skeleton of what looked like an iguana hiding in the backround, under the chair, shivering. The molten eyed man had disappeared, and the skeletal iguana was still there. I was the last person off the bus, waiting for a chance to call Leo here, and after I did that, I tried to get the small lizard to come towards me. I held out my hand like you would to get a dog to trust you, and the iguana got a bit closer. " Aw, poor little skeleton lizard. Come here sweet one, no one's going to hurt you. Did that bad man do something to you?" I say in a cooing tone, like one you'd use with a dog. The lizard climbed towards me, and I picked it up, and placed him on my shoulder. The lizard looked alot cuter than you'd think, it's skeleton was more of a cartoonified version of a real iguana skeleton, and it looked like a skeleton turtle from one of those plumber games a tiny bit. "I'm going to name you Liz, you ok with that little buddy?" I say, asking the iguana, and he nods. I heard out of the bus, and AR looks at the skele-lizard that now rested on my shoulder. "Uh... What is that?" He asks, and I tell him "he's Liz! I found him under the seat in the bus, shaking. That phsyco driving the bus must've abused him or something terrible." I say, as I pet Liz a bit. AR shrugs, and we start walking east. I see a bunch of teachers that I recognize, some from my current school, some from older schools. AR seems to recognize some teachers of his too, because he hides his face from some of them. "Teachers?" I ask him, and he nods. All of the teachers were holding a disc, and standing in a random area, looking straight forward. It's like they were in a trance, and I saw a few other people from my elementary school who I recognize. I see my triplet (we say that but we're not actually related, she was born on the same day and at the same hospital as me and my sister) as well as a few more of my close friends. I run up to EW and CS, and they agree to join our group. We shake hands, I tell them the plan, and they start heading north. Their names show up in our party on our map. As they walk off north, EW walks in front of one of the teachers. The teacher grabs them and says "you want to fight me? I'll fight!" And thus proceeds the first fight between two people. EW puts her hands up, ready to box her way out of this, a little nervous to hit a teacher. The teacher looks at her like she's a little dumb, and says "not with your hands, dummy! Use your monster!" One of EW's discs starts glowing, and she throws the disc on the floor. A blue humanoid appears, with a dolphin tail and webbed arms and feet, wearing blue combat boots, long cargo pants, and a button up with a few pockets, sporting a white leather jacket over the shirt. It had a cap on, and wore knuckled gloves. It was tiny compared to us, only about 3-4 feet tall. It was looking for a fight though, and it had short, yellow hair combed towards one side In a military cut, and hazel eyes. The teacher sent out a small rock-shaped lizard. The battle happened, and EW won. EW's monster cheered, and EW high fives it. EW's monster levels up, and we all get the notification. EW also gets battle points, and EW and CS move on north, fighting every teacher they can come across. We do the same, and we start finding secret items around the areas. Then, we came across a large house, painted yellow, red, and blue, looking like a toy house. There was an area over the door to the first floor, where a teacher was standing, awaiting a battle, and a large glowing crystal was sitting next to him.there was a ladder leading up, really high to that spot. AR went first, and I waited below, making sure he got up there safely. I was on high alert, not trusting anything I see on this strange island. Leo calls me, and tells me that the island I'm on is on no maps, and isn't even on radar or satellite imaging. The island doesn't exist, but it can be located based on my current location. I tell him to save my location, and that I'll do some Investigating later. As I say that, I hear a cracking noise. I look up, and see AR falling towards me. I transform, jumping up to catch him, and i end up hovering in the air, holding AR bridal style. "I-I-I-" I stutter, flying quickly to the platform, letting AR down, my movements stuttering. "I didn't mean to carry you like that, it was just how I caught you, I'm so sorry!" I say, bumping into the back of the house, accidentally leaving a dent in the wood house. I revert to normal, trying not to cause any more damage because of my flusteredness. My armor, wings, and everything else included disappear in a flash of blue sparks, my now idle wrist braces glowing blue on the hexagonal borders indented into it. AR is just standing there, not saying anything, and barely moving. " I'm just going to fight this teacher now" I say slouching and moving over towards the teacher, slightly avoiding AR. The battle starts, and my pok- monster is a humanoid dragon, mostly black, with red, white, and blue details. It has a vest on, with a trench coat over it, and wearing long pants and combat boots, as well as fingerless gloves. (Sorry, Im best at detailing clothes and hair) I fight the teacher, and end up one shotting his monster, and as I start walking back to AR, he finally says "did you just-?" " Fly? Make matter appear and dissaper at will? Catch you bridal style? Yeah, I did. Which one do you want to hate me for?" I say, sitting with my feet off the edge, looking away and out onto the island. Im still slouching a bit, my shoulders low and hands clenched together. "Why would I hate you? You saved my life, or at least from me being paralyzed. How did you do that, though?" I tell him everything, the accident, what it really was, about Leo, my powers, and how I had been in a digital world while comatose for four months. "Jesus" he says, and I respond "..... That's it? Just 'jesus'? Ah well it's better than I thought it would be. Well, now we can cover more ground faster." We head out, me transformed with AR in different positions flying. Sometimes he'd be on my back, sometimes I'd be holding him under his arms. I need to figure out a better way to carry people with me. We stop at every monster And every teacher on the way, making sure to grab as many monsters as we could, trying to get different ones, and a few duplicates. We didn't know if we had to get different monsters, or 300 of the same one, so we did both. We were covering more of the map than any of the others, obviously, but we still didn't cover all of the map. Our monsters were powering up and evolving a bunch, and both of our monsters reached the max evolution quickly.
