emersyn and matt were in her room playing roblox. matt had never played roblox nor did he want to, but, he did it for his girlfriends quote on quote "sanity" as she referred it to
"emersyn how much money do you spend on this game" matt asks, tapping his phone
"uhm, ive probably spent two hundred of my own dollars" emersyn admits
"all of that to scam little kids on adopt me for digital pets?" he asks
"uhhh, yes!" she nods "im bored now, ive scammed three nine year olds" she throws her phone on the bed
"yes me too" he lies down next to her
"so" she asks, looking at him
"so" he looks back at her
"are you guys coming to my concert?" she asks
"of course we are, i am very excited to walk on stage with you and admire you while you sing" matt says
"aww youre too sweet" emersyn pinches his cheek
"yeah i know" he smiles "okay so, what are you gonna sing?"
"the 'this is what it feels like' album songs and maybe, probably ill sing taylor swift" she answers
"oh thats fun" he says
"yes it is" she kisses his forehead
"i have present for you" matt sits up, grabbing his backpack
"oh?" emersyn sits up as well
"so uhm, dont open it yet" he puts a small velvet box in between them "so we are in a relationship but i dont know if its like committed or not but emersyn i want you to know that im all in, this relationship and you mean the world to me, and i wanted to give you something to tell you that - i dont know about you - but i wanted to give you something to tell you that i am committed and i love you so much" he rants
"matt, im committed, and i love you too, so can i open it now?" she chuckles
"yes" he takes a deep breath
emersyn smiles and opens the velvet box. it had a note that said 'for em, i love you so much, love matt'. she puts it on her desk and saw a silver ring with the letter 'm' on it, she assumed it was for his name
"its a promise ring, i dont know if were at that stage of our relationship but i just thought it would be nice" matt admits "emersyn please say something"
"matt, i love it!" emersyn looks at him
"you do?" he asks, a tone of relief in his voice
"yeah matt, how could i not?" she says
"did you hear the part about it being promise ring?" he asks
"yes matt, i did." she smiles "thank you"
"youre welcome" he smiles, kissing her shortly
"hey can you hand me the box thats on my desk?" she asks, putting the ring on
"uh yeah, here" she says, grabbing the box "what are you doing with it?"
"memory box" she says, putting the note and the rings box in it "i started it when i was fourteen"
"am i in there?" he questions
"yeah of course you are. this is a polaroid that nick took the first day we met, this one is from when we went ice skating and nick also took a polaroid of us holding hands, this is a note you passed to me in class, and theres many other things that im too lazy to find" she says, putting the things back in the box "but matt i should get you a promise ring now"
"no, dont worry about it" he says
"are you sure?" emersyn asks
"yeah," matt smiles "anyways, i should get home"
"noo" she whines, falling on his lap
"emersyn" he throws his head back
"matt please its only four pm" she says
"no, emersyn, it is eight pm" he announces
"so?" she answers
"em, i have to record in a few hours" he chuckles
"oh" she says, sitting up "bu-"
"bye em," matt kisses her "i love you"
"yeah i love you more" emersyn crosses her arms, matt leaving her room, not being able to see the small smile appearing on the girls face
