Clara's POV

"How do you run so fast?" Jose asks as we walk into the main hall. We plop down on the couch. After supper Diandra had classes, so we hung out in the main hall.

"Magic," I reply motioning with jazz hands

"Hey maybe you have two gifts," he suggests

"Now that you mention it, I don't even have one," I say

"Hey don't you have that language gift?" he asks

"I havn't been able to prove," I say quietly. I look down embarassed.

"Here let's try it," he says. He lifts the translator off my head, severly messing up my hair in the process.

"Now," he says "speak!"

"What the hell?" I say

"See! You were right," he says

"No I'm speaking English," I argue

"No you weren't. That was definitely Glyph," he says

"Prove it," I say. He pulls out his light tablet and taps on app button.

"Now...speak!" he says before pressing record

"This is so stupid Jose," I roll my eyes. He presses the stop button.

"Now listen," he plays the tape, all I hear is me talking in English.

"All I hear is me," I say.

"Hmm I guess you'll just need to trust that you'e speaking Glyph," he replys. Jose is about to say something else when a strange bell goes off.

"Jose! Code Yellow," someone shouts

"Really! I didn't think he was coming for months," Jose gasps

"Surprise visit," the guy says before running off. What's Code Yellow.

"Clara we need to go to the gym," Jose says before dragging me back to the gym.

*Later*

We've been waiting here for an hour Jose. What's Code Yellow?" I ask. As soon as the words leave my mouth the doors burst open.

"My dad's here," Jose says quietly. I watch as about 15 bodyguards enter the gym in a square formation. The Governor Glory must be inside the square.

I looked over to Jose who was in salute position along with almost everyone else. Awkwardly I joined them, hoping no one would notice.

The Governor Glory made his way to the front of the gym. Once he was there the bodyguards dispersed leaving us to look at a smaller man in a navy suit. He had the same dark hair as Jose but had dark brown eyes unlike Jose's green.

"Attention ladies and gentleman," the Governor Glory says. The air around us became...different. Not warm like around Mark or cold around Jose but different. I accidently leaned up against Jose, a spark flew up from where we touched.

"Ow!" Jose crys

"Sorry," I whisper. It became static-y.

"I'd like to thank you for attending my this unscheduled visit," he said. He had a very thick Spanish accent.

"And for this I would like to invite you all to the World Peace Day ceremony," he announces. World Peace Day was a ceremony to celebrate the day WWIII ended. The war only lasted two weeks but the effects had left over 75, 000 people around the world dead. The celebration was supposed to be a festive time where we celebrate the whole getting along. I believe this year was the 49th annual celebration.

"This year the ceremony will be held right here in New York City," the Governor Glory raises his arms.

"Like I said before I thank you for attending this meeting. But before I go I would like to see my son. Does anyone know where he is?" the Governor asked everyones eyes flew to either me or Jose. A crowd of people partes like the Red Sea to let him throw. I watched as Jose nodded and walked towards his father. When Jose reached his dad the bodyguards huddled around him ina square formation and left the gym in silence.

As soon as they had left an enormous cloud of chatter filled the room. People began moving everywhere which isn't good for a 5'4'' person who is not always visible. A scrambled around trying not to be crushed by the numerous people in the room. Somehow I managed to run into Diandra who was also trying not to be stepped on.

"It's so loud in here!" I scream

"I know it's always like this!" she screams. I'm about to scream again but the doors to the gym swing open again and the room goes silent. This time the goth girl whom I met before is there.

"I...I...I'm...back," she pants. A teacher runs to help her. Why is she out of breath? She was here just this morning, where could she have gone?

"I'm fine," she says pushing who I think to be Miss. R away from her.

"Is no one listening I said I'm back!" she yells. I hear a few cheers and the ocean of noise begins to stir again. Darren runs to the front of the gym and raises his hands.

"I know what your thinking...I can tell," he says. The gym erupts in a wave of laughter but Darren silences them again.

"What I need you guys to do is get in a single file line and go back to your classrooms quietly," he commands.

The movement begins again and I'm quickly seperated from Diandra. Somehow in the sea of people I manage to get into the line of people. I try standing on my tip-toes to see where I'm going but it's no use. I'm way too short.

I'm about to try again when I feel a hand clamp over my mouth and I'm dragged out of the line. I try to scream but it's no use their grip is to tight on my mouth. I watch as I'm dragged into a darkened hallway.
