Faking Smiles

Paige POV

"Okay now that all of you are here, remember best behaviour no being rude to our guests." Ms McKinley said while looking at me since I can be rude sometimes. We mumbled a few yes's and then the door closed.

When she returned to the room she said

"Okay they're here, now if they ask you questions please be polite." And with that Ms McKinley left the room again. The guys began straightening their shirts. Everyone just wanted to leave this place, I mean we all loved it here but I guess the thought of having a real family was pretty cool, you know, someone waking you up on your birthday and caring.

The guys striked up conversations with the four boys that just entered the room. They looked around 18-21. Young that's for sure. I remain in my seat and opened my book, I read about 5 pages before one of the guys came up to me.

"Hi, I'm Calum and you are?" He asked me.

"Hey Calum I'm Paige, I don't want to be rude or anything, but why are four guys adopting?" He let out a small laugh before saying

"Yeah but I think we need more responsibility." I nodded my head understanding. "So how about you tell me a little about yourself yeah." I nodded my head and straightened my back, Calum took a seat on the chair beside me and listened while I told him about Tim and what I do for fun. We ended up talking for ages and laughing after a while two other boys came over to us, they told me their names which were Luke and Michael

"Well depending on what Ash says I think we've made our decision." Calum confirmed. I went stiff, I knew I didn't have a big chance in getting adopted but I wanted to leave so badly. I faked another smile and reopened my book, I really don't want to get my hopes up, mainly because the boys have a bigger chance in getting adopted that I have.
