The Lonely Bird

Ash quickly darted off screaming someone about Misty to Anubis before hand

One he reached her she was still laying down he shook her a few times before she opened her eyes.

"Ash what going on,"

"You where almost turned into a tree,"

"A TREE!!,"

"Yeah for a bird perch fun stuff I tell Ya',"

"Where's Anubis,"

"I'm here," she called walking up

"Your hurt," quickly Misty jumped to her feet and looked at the spirit who held her hand up in protest

"I'm fine just a few scratches,"

"Those are not scratches and look at you ash your all best up too,"

"Really must have been from carrying you because i didn't feel anything fighting,"

Misty smacked his head before growling words under her breath

"hellow,"

They stopped to turn and look for the voice, they walked a little ways until coming to a bunch of bushes, Ash pushed some apart to peer threw.

Laying in a pile of broke limbs on its belly you its arms and legs to its side was a yellow cat, it had brown ear and its tail was dropped on the ground, faintly you could tell the tip was brown too, white paws and two small white wings rapped over its back again it called out

"Hellow, anyone, hellow,"

"Hey there fella," Ash said stepping closer the cat turned to look at him with large brown eyes

"hellow,"

"Are you lost,"

"No I was never found to begin with,"

"What you mean your all by yourself,"

"I guess so, where am I, who am I,"

"Well your on an island and not to long ago you where a tree,"

The cat dropped his ears before sniffing to himself

"I'm lonely,"

Ash picked the cat up and hugged him as it started to cry

"No one wanted me, I'm no one," it cried

Misty and Anubis watched from the side lines as Ash comforted the small creature

After the cat calmed down Ash put him down where he stood on his back two legs with his wings dropped down behind him. His front paws twisting up his tail

"Names Ash by the way and your free to go,"

The cat nodded before Ash stood and walked away leaving the cat alone. As the three people left they heard a loud wail before something flying right into Ash, if not for his reflexes he was sure to be in the ground. buried up in his chest was the cat, crying once again.

"Dwont weave,"

Ash patted his head

"Then come with us,"

The cat looked up at him eyes growing big with joy

"You can join Phoenix Wing and you won't be lonely any more, sounds fun huh little guy,"

"Yes, yes,"

"A new member already we just got one, from a duo to a full set in less then a day,"

"So what's your name," Misty asked the cat as he calmed down

"I don't have one,"

Again his tail and ears dropped as he turned to look at Ash

"What is my name,"

Ash though for a minute before patting his head smiling at the cat

"I'm gonna call ya', Ninufa,"

"Ninufa," that cat said

"Yeah from the weekly manga about the rose chick and the magic cards except your not a bat. We can call you Ninf for short,"

"Ninf!, Ninf," the cat cried as ash raised him in the air

"well team lets go home,"

"Ninf too,"

"Yes Ninf too," Anubis said looking at the cat who flew to rest on Ash's head

"Ninf too," he purred

After they got back to guild they where met by the little boy and his father, where the boy tried to give them reward but Ash refused saying the reward of seeing try boy happy was plenty.

The guild master met them at their usually table, after meeting Ninf he placed the guilds mark on the cats back its wing s being the color brown like his few markings.

"Mist what's your symbols color," the cat asked looking at the mater Mage

Ah was still out of it as she stared at her reflection in the mirror on the wall. Ninf flew over to rest on her head

"Ninf doesn't know what wrong with what you look like Ninf likes how Mist looks,"

The girl smiled in the mirror, "Me too Ninf,"

"So your color?," the cat questioned

"Oh it's blue see,"

Misty picked up the hem of her shirt to show that on her hip bone was the symbol with blue wings. Ninf purred on her head before saying

"Ninf is happy to have a family and friends for the first time,"

"Well the non that note Ninf," the master said

"Welcome home," the guild cheered as they raised their glasses and carried on with their celebration

The yellow cat holding back year of joy as he smiled at his new home.
