On October 13th, a tragedy happened on Hinata's birthday. Shouto took the liberty of bringing in his own homemade cake as a surprise gift. The birthday boy wouldn't suspect it to be filled with military grade Cyanide poison that he stole from Feng's spare case. Hinata excised himself to the bathroom with Hyon-Woo still inside and collapsed on to the marble flooring.
It wasn't long before Seung-Min called in the ambulance and Shouto ran off. Yun-Chae followed him to the highway where he escaped the scene to. In a moment of panic, the teen revealed his intentions. He wanted to kill Hinata so Seung-Min knew what it felt to lose someone. The moment he met the blonde and knew of his assassin backgrounds while fully knowing his mothers' citizenship identity, he put two and two together and blamed him for what happened. He also was clever enough to catch on to the older's hints towards Hinata; said actions almost seeming obsessive.
And after all that, Shouto timed perfectly for when a mailing truck would pass by and he jumped in front of it. Thinking that it was all worth it until he heard a second of what Yun-Chae shouted, "It was your fault..." And so, with a guilt in his heart, his demon decided that this wasn't his time and made sure that he lived on. The accident leading him to a coma.
