This will be a new book of mine that will be in the form of fan fiction, but there is a twist.
It is based on a true story.
I am not the type to write about my experiences publicly, but I feel the need to write a book like this.
To give you some insight, I was born and raised in the Catholic religion and if you don't know, a majority of Catholics are not fond of being gay. There have been and are many who are stuck in the closet because of religious influence and public humiliation.
I have experienced firsthand what it is like to live the life of a Catholic girl struggling with her sexuality and being told that what I feel is wrong. It shaped a lot of who I am today and if I can say anything, it made me stronger. However, it was not an easy time in my life.
I am thankful for those who have supported me in my life and I am proud to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I was given wonderful people in my life who accept me for who I am.
For those of you who do not get that support, please reach out to me and let me be a shoulder to lean on. If you are stuck in the closet or you just don't feel comfortable being out, it's okay. We are all here for you and when you are ready, you will know. Please know that I will gladly support anyone who is going through anything like this.
In regards to the story, I am going to share my experience of realizing my sexuality through my interactions with a girl. In this story, it will be told mostly from the perspective of Rosé, who would be me in this case. I am going to tell my story using other names to give you insight on what it is like living in that environment.
This story is set in a Catholic environment. It is a Catholic school specifically that I attended and have survived. There will be things said in this book that could possibly trigger you. I will put trigger warnings every chapter and I will give a summary of these trigger warnings in this introduction as well.
Through the events in the story, you will see what happened to me through the eyes of Rosé and Lisa but it is real. These were real people and I was Rosé. I lived this story. There may be some exaggeration, but it happened.
It means a lot that I have come to a place where I can talk about this and I am thankful for all the supportive souls on Wattpad that have been by my side. You know who you are. I am happy to share this story with you.
