I walk out of the bathroom to see Malia on her bed scrolling through her phone.
"Finally! I need to pee and I found a place we can go to for the sim cards" She says to me while still looking at her phone. "There's a mall not too far from here. We can order another uber."
"There's a car rental place near here, I was thinking we could rent a car for the next 2 weeks. It'll be so much cheaper than having to uber everywhere. Let's go do that now and then head to the shopping district in Melrose, I booked an appointment at Planet Salon for us. I need to get my hair done before the concert. This black hair is looking too dull for me" I turn to Malia after opening my suitcase to shuffle through the minimal clothes I brought with me.
"You booked an appointment for me too?!" Malia jumps up in the bed.
"Yes when you wouldn't shut up about your split ends" I roll my eyes playfully at her. "I had to book a whole month in advanced because I heard they always get booked out"
Malia just sends me one of her signature glares before she gets up to use the restroom and get her day started. "You're lucky I didn't wash my hair when I showered last night" She says as she passes me.
I know we're gonna be doing a lot of walking today so I go for a more comfy outfit. I grab an oversized black t-shirt and some black biker shorts and slip that on before digging through my luggage for my vans. I'm tying my shoes when Malia comes out of the bathroom and I walk past her to put my contacts in and brush through my hair again. I don't normally do my makeup and just save it for special occasions so that's a skip in my morning routines. I just touch up my eyebrows with my eyebrow pencil and fluff my hair. I also don't use contacts as much back home but my glasses don't go with some outfits so I had to buy contacts so I can stop wearing those huge glasses with every outfit.

"Are you ready?" I call to Malia from inside the bathroom.
"Yes! Let's go, I'm hungry and I wanna eat before our appointments" Malia replies standing in front of the doorway.
I take one last look in the mirror satisfied with my hair even though all I did was fluff it up a little and part it. I leave the bathroom, pick my apple watch off the bed and grab my wallet and hotel key from the little coffee table in our room.
The car rental process doesn't take too long and we enjoy a nice car ride bickering about the GPS because neither of us have ever used one before and how Malia fairly lost at rock, paper, scissors and now she has to drive.
Finally making it to our destination, Malia pulls into the parking lot and we immediately set out on a mission to get some food in our bodies. We have an hour and a half until our appointments and we're starving.

"I love this color on you" Malia compliments as she gets in the passenger side of car.

"Thanks, it's just for the concert. Maybe I'll do pink or something next month" I sigh while leaning back into the seat and adjusting the chair a little to look at Malia. "Your hair is cute! I love the middle back cut. At least one of us chopped our long hair off"
"I can't deal with how heavy my hair is, I don't know how you've done it all these years" Malia says while touching my hair.
We head to the front of the salon and pay. Our next stop is the nail salon. I'm so happy it's just in the mall so we don't have to drive anywhere and lose parking. The mall has gotten a lot more crowded since we first got here.

Malia and I walk out of the nail salon and head to the Starbucks that is inside the mall. We both decided to go with the purple theme in honor of our boys.

It's been a productive day. We ate, shopped a little, got our hair and nails done, got our phones working, shopped some more and then ate again. I agreed to driving back to the hotel since Malia drove here and that's how I found myself in this situation. Driving at 9pm, absolutely exhausted.

This was another filler chapter, just to set up a better visual for you guys. Also if you noticed, there is a name for our MC now instead of just Y/n. I really wanna make this series into something that's connected to the other Soulmate books I'm planning to put out so having a name for our MC just made sense. Please feel free to replace Taylor with your name. My playlist has been going with Taylor Swift's songs so the name Taylor has been stuck in my head all throughout writing this chapter. The other chapters will be updated with Taylor's name in place of Y/n so if you'd like to go back and read from the beginning to get the full effect please do so.
Next chapter we FINALLY are at the concert, not sure if I wanna make an extra long chapter where MC and JK meet or if I wanna break it into 2 chapters.
