Shreya's POV

I stepped out of the car, and my jaw dropped as I laid eyes on the stunning villa in front of me. It was a sight to behold, but I quickly snapped back to reality, reminded of the reason I was there.

I rang the doorbell, momentarily taking my gaze away from my surroundings. The memories of that fateful night when the accident happened came rushing back to me. It's still so vivid in my mind.

I had tried to process everything in just a few hours, and my world was falling apart. When our parents died, I still had a reason to keep going for Anu, but now...

The doctor cleared his throat and spoke, bringing me back to the present. "I told you, the surgery is expensive, and your sister doesn't have much time..."

"How much?" I asked, my voice hoarse from a sore throat, causing my words to come out as a whisper.

The doctor misunderstood, thinking I was asking about the cost. He proceeded to calculate, "It's nearly 3 lakhs," weighing heavily on my mind, making everything around me go dark.

The door opening snapped me back to reality. A middle-aged woman wearing a simple blue saree stood there, looking at me curiously.

"Namaste, I'm Shreya, and I came to meet Priya Kothari," I introduced myself, folding my hands and explaining why I was there.

The woman recognized me, saying, "Oh dear, I remember Priya bitiya (daughter) mentioning that her friend would come to visit her today."

I followed her, expecting her to lead me to Priya's room. It still felt surreal to be in a place I had only seen on TV.

Instead, the woman led me to the backyard garden, away from the mansion's rooms. In the distance, I saw Priya, looking as beautiful as ever, enjoying her tea.

The weather was pleasant that day, with a clear sky, fresh air, and a gentle sun.

The woman informed Priya of my arrival, and she nodded, dismissing the woman and leaving us alone.

I took a seat across from Priya, and she looked at me with a knowing smile, observing me for a moment.

I felt a sense of confusion because now I was poor and had forgotten how to enjoy something as simple as tea since my parents passed away.

"Don't worry, Shreya, just make yourself at home," Priya reassured me, her smile friendly.

Her words brought me some comfort, and I gradually began to relax.

As I looked at her, I couldn't help but notice the striking resemblance between us. I was surprised when I first saw her outside the hotel where I work, and even more surprised when we talked for an hour, realizing our similarities despite our different personalities.

She was confident, extroverted, and had an outgoing nature, while I was shy, introverted, and simple.

Despite these differences, we shared certain qualities. We were both kind, honest, and brave when it came to our loved ones.

Not only did we resemble each other physically, but our souls seemed to connect through our expressive light brown eyes. After a little makeover, wearing the same outfit, it was hard for anyone to tell us apart.

"Shreya, do you remember the plan?" Priya asked, her voice filled with determination. "You need to pose as the bride and keep the groom occupied long enough for me to marry Anuj, the man I love. He will be pretending to be our friend at the wedding."
