Chapter 6. "Friends?!"

Karuna looks at Nishi with some hope who stopped walking. Nishi turns, thinks licking her lips, 'वैसे एक दिन के लिए बैर भुलाई जा सकती है।'

[ Translation : 'By the way, enmity can be forgotten for a day.' ]

'लालची औरत!' A voise taunts.

[ Translation : 'Greedy woman!' ]

'Technically, I'm still a kid!' The teenager taunts back and asks, "Is it ready? I can wait if it's not!"

The elders laugh at her sudden change of mind when Sukanya asks laughing, "You like Paneer?"

"It's my favorite!" She says with excitement.

"How did you get Indian Matar-Paneer recipe in different countries?" Arushi asks dumbly chewing some chocolate making someone look at her with a smile.

"Indian restaurants can be found anywhere but still, 'घर का खाना' is a different बात. It's not a big deal to find Peas and Paneer on foreign land, so I used to cook! Thanks to Simon Uncle, he taught me cooking including Indian recipes." Nishi says with her hands in her Pyjama's pockets remembering her time with Simon, who used to be her cook in New York.

[ Translation : 'Home made Food' is a different thing. ]

"Who is Simon?" Arushi shoots another question with curiosity at Nishi to which she smiles at her tiredly.

"एक काम कर न, एक कॉपी और पेन लाकर देदे उसे, जब वो अपनी पूरी आत्मकथा लिख दे, तो पढ़ लेना घर जाकर!" Gia says smiling at Arushi.

[ Translation : "Do one thing, bring a copy and pen to her, when she writes her complete autobiography, go home and read it!" ]

Arushi nods and says looking at her friend's cousin, "You wait here, I'll bring the notebook and pen."

Gia slaps the back of her friend's head as all start laughing at Arushi's dumbness while Karuna slaps her own forehead which makes Vineet chuckle as she shakes her head.

"What?" Arushi asks getting annoyed glaring at Gia.

Gia tries not to strangle her to death while her mother chuckles. "Idiot! She is tired! Let her take a shower and give her a break from your stupid questions!" Says Gia glaring at Arushi, earning a thankful smile from Nishi to which she nods saying, "You go! Her questions will not end even if morning comes!"

Arushi slaps Gia's arm who punches her back playfully in return. Nishi giggles at the duo leaving for her room while hearing some laughs and chuckles in the background.

Gia's eyes accidentally meet with Rohan's who immediately looks else where to which she gets confused and shrugs while Rohan tries his best to hide his blush.

"Achchha listen, I'm going to the company and Vihaan and these boys will go with me. We will be late for the night." Says Vineet looking at his wife after poking her shoulder to get her attention.

Karuna frowns saying, "I can't believe this! Your daughter just arrived and you are already leaving? And you are taking these kids with you too! क्या सोचेगी वो?!"

[Translation : "What would she think?" ]

"Aunty, it's for her safety. We had no idea that she is coming. So we need to make sure that she is safe and sound here." Mrityunjay says saving Vineet from his Aunt's anger.
