Can't Leave Him [Enji Matsushita]

"However..."

You looked to the man infront of you.

"I like that about you. Because... I'm just like you. Let's be friends," he finished, with a soft smile. You both nodded.

You traced shapes onto his hand, watching one of the other competitors beat the shit out of another. The boy coughed up blood, and tried to get his words out.

You turned away. You didn't like watching the torture of an innocent person, as contradictory as that might sound. When you did you saw the eyes of the blonde boy from earlier on you again. "Enji I'm gonna go get a snack... I'll be back," you muttered, walking off to the cafetería area.

You heard soft steps behind you. You grabbed a small package of cookies, and went to leave before bumping into him. You looked away. "Hello," he said,  waving. "H-hi," you mumbled, messing with the package in your hand. "So... you and that bangs kid?" He questioned. "Bangs kid? Oh... Enji... y-yeah what about it?" You responded, taking time to look at him. "Why would you partner with someone else if you already had eachother?" He asked. You looked at his face, seeing a mischievous glint in his eyes. You looked down.

"What? Do I make you nervous?"

You shook your head. "I-i shouldn't talk to you."

You began to walk away, down the hall and back to your boyfriend and new team mate.

"One hour is almost done," you mentioned. You all decided to head to the solitary confinement cells. 5:43 read the timer.

The door locked behind you and you stood with a smile.

"My mark is... heart!" You chirped. You knew it was right.

The time was over, and you all came out of the cells.

Round 1 over. 20 players remaining.

No one died.

You followed after Banda, your lover falling closely behind. "Blonde. He's scary. Thinks he knows better. A bit condescending, harder to break down," you whispered to your boyfriend. In other words

Watch him.

You all went back to the main hall where that man was beating the younger boy once more for his mark. As soon as he told, the more optemistic kid went up to him. You couldn't hear. You didn't care.

"Do you want to join our group?" A sweet voice asked, breaking you from your thoughts. You looked up to see a girl with shoulder length hair wearing a pretty blue dress.

Her smile told you to trust her. Her eyes told you she was dangerous. You gripped onto Enji's arm, acting shy once more. You shook your head. "With them. Thank you."

Banda stood, going over to you. You looked at him and flashed a small shy smile. His hand grabbed onto your face, making you look up at him.  This shocked you.

"H-hey-" your boyfriend started, but one glare from the other man was all it took for him to quiet down. You were not expecting this man to have his hands on what wasn't his.

"You were talking to that kid over there, weren't you?" He asked, bringing his face closer to your own. You nodded. There was no need to lie. "Tell me... what did you think?"

"H-hes a bit condescending I think... know it all," you stammered. "I-i don't know what e-else to say."

He hummed,  letting your face go. "What an obedient good girl you have," he said towards Matsushita, who stared in shock. You didn't know whether to be embarrassed or angry. However, outwardly you had a personality to keep up. You two followed him.
