It's been a month since Kanz started working for the Pasquino brothers as an assistant to the CEO.

She was fine with the job itself. The CEO, however, was a pain in the ass.

Giovanni made sure to throw additional work at her whenever he got the chance, thinking she might finally break and confess about her informant. Yet, she would just give him a wide smile in return, complete the task given to her and blatantly refuse to answer.

Today was the same, or at least it started as usual. Kanz walked into the building, muttering 'good morning' to the employees that came across her on the way to her office and ignoring Melda, the girl who held grudges against Kanz since day one because she was aiming to be in Kanz's position as Mr. Giovanni's assistant.

Kanz rolled her eyes at the thought as she remembered the first time they spoke to each other and Melda accused her of stealing her dream job.

"Sweetheart, you can take both the position and the CEO. I don't care.. in fact, please advise Mr. Pasquino about the mistake he made by giving me this job, you would be doing me a favor."

The minute Kanz said those words to her, they became sworn enemies and Melda made it her mission to spread lies around the office about her but her attempts were fruitless because no one believed what she said, at least Kanz hoped so.

Once Kanz reached her office and put her things down, the light from Giovanni's office caught her attention and she went there.

He never showed up before 10 AM, so what was he doing here at 7:45 in the morning? Kanz thought as she knocked on his door.

"Come in." Came his short answer.

"Good morning Sir." Kanz greeted as she went in his office.

"Good you're finally here." Giovanni said back and Kanz wanted to tell him that her working hours start on 8 AM so she wasn't late, but he continued speaking, "Cancel all my appointments for the day. I have nine interviews today for the vacancies in the IT department, reschedule them as well. Send a bouquet of flowers along with this note to the address I just sent you. I have a very important meeting at 12 PM so make sure you handle all my calls. I do not want to be disturbed at all."

Kanz stood there for a couple of seconds to consume all the info he just threw at her.. too many orders and I haven't had my coffee yet, she thought sarcastically.

She nodded before he had to add anything else and began walking to the door.

"And where is my coffee?" Giovanni asked as Kanz's hand reached for the doorknob.

"It will be ready in a couple of minutes." Kanz answered with a smile, "Anything else?"

"Nothing else for now. I will let you know if something comes up." Giovanni replied, his eyes already focusing on his laptop screen.

Kanz nodded and walked out with a sigh. She hurried out the company and to the coffee shop across the street.

"Good morning." Kanz greeted with a smile and the guy behind the counter smiled back.

"Kanz! Good morning. You are early today." He commented as he started typing away on the machine in front of him. "The usual?"

Kanz nodded in confirmation, "The usual."

Two minutes later, she was handed the large cup of Espresso, she thanked the guy as she paid then went right back to the office.

Her day dragged on, with Giovanni's orders raining on her like bullets and her running around to complete them. By midday, she was utterly exhausted and she almost fell asleep the minute she rested her head against the desk.
