Sitting by the corner
Time is ticking like forever
Hoping that you suddenly appear
But you left no hints and just disappeared.
Drinking my coffee in peace
Flipping the pages of the book as I read
The ambiance of the cafe never cease
But the noise of people started going through my head.
I tucked my hair unto my ear
Wiping my glasses till it got clear
I can sense some gazes
My forehead creased
It's making me uncomfortable geez.
I started packing my things up
But I heard the bell rang
I turned my head up
Then suddenly, my heart felt a pang.
I saw you walking inside
I sat down again, not noticing the guys on my side
I take a sip of my coffee
Nervousness overwhelms me.
Didn't expect
My wish has been granted
Hoping that everything will be perfect
Because that's all I wanted.
I saw you sat down
I smiled and looked around
I stood up
Holding my cup
I approached you
You smiled without a clue.
It is summer
But my cold sweat is such a bummer
I smiled at you as I sat in front of you
You didn't mind, but only if you knew my feelings toward you.
"Can we be friends?"
In anticipation, my heart tense
And you nodded
"Yeah, sure," you added
I can feel my heart smiling
My head started flying.
Excitement fuels me
All the nervousness is gone
I felt so free
The melody of friendship is our start on
Summertime
