4 months later
"Mama, Chance keeps shaking and sweating...", I can still hear my sister's voice and their footsteps as they approach my room
I'm suffocating and I have no power to shake off as I'm still asleep
"Chance WAKE UP", I feel someone shake me violently.
"I'm sorry I have to do this", I yell before opening my eyes.
Beads of sweats form on my forehead and my body feels numb.
I pant loudly and the feeling of terror runs through my veins.
Why am I having this nightmare again?
I haven't had it in months
I made a terrible mistake when I was 16 and this shit been haunting me since then
"It's fine it's fine baby", my mom moves closer to me, rubbing my hands.
"Mama I...", I say weakly and Lara hugs me.
"Breathe in and out Chance", my mom says and I do as she says.
Lara gives me a cup of water which I gulp down immediately.
"Did you have that nightmare again?", My mom asks after we've been silent for like twenty minutes straight.
"Yes", I sigh.
"You haven't had it since like 8 months nie. Why's it coming back?", Lara says in a worried voice.
"I don't know why it came back.", I sniff in the tears.
"Why won't you tell me what really happened?", My mom asks.
"Mom I said I don't have any memory of what happened that night. Why won't you believe me?", I say, almost yelling
"Even when you have a nightmare about it?", Lara says, raising her brows.
"I start suffocating soon as I wanna see her face. Ian ever seen her face in the dream", I wave her off.
"Enough of this. I'm calling the doctor", my mom picks her phone up
"Mom I don't wanna see a doctor. I'm fine", I shake my head
