"They say these are the golden years, but I wish I could disappear."

———————————————————————————————————

When I got home I ran up to my room. I was embarrassed, angry, insecure, jealous, and all of the above. Why can't I be her? Why doesn't he like me? I thought we liked each other. I guess not.

20 minutes later

The phone has been ringing non stop for the past five minutes. It's probably Michael. I don't wanna talk to him anymore. I'd rather talk to Damian. Too bad I didn't get his number.

30 minutes later

I've been crying for the past 20 minutes. What does he see in her that he doesn't see in me? What does she have that I don't? I'm heartbroken. I'm sure he doesn't like me back. The look on his face should say everything. I don't wanna go to school tomorrow. But I have to.

1 hour later

The phone has finally stopped ringing. I'm guessing he, as I'm Michael, gave up. I'm not crying anymore, I'm just drained. I don't wanna think of him, see him, talk to him, I don't wanna do anything. Who do I call? I wanna talk to someone about this.

Jeremy, mark, or Fredrick?

I'll go with Jeremy.

I went to the phone and put in Jeremy's number.

Ring

Ring

Ring

Ring

Ring

"Hello?"

Thank god.

"Jeremy, can you come over? I need help."

"Uh- yeah, give me 10 minutes."

"Alright, bye"

I hung up the phone then put on some comfortable clothes. Biker shorts and a oversized hoodie.

Wait.

This is Michaels hoodie.

Whatever, don't cry, it's fine.

10 minutes later

Knock

Knock

Knock

Must be Jeremy.

Creaaaakkk.....

"Hey, come in!" I said, inviting Jeremy in.

"Soooo what's up? Need help confessing to your mikeyyyy?" He joked.

"Not the time Jeremy...." I mumbled.

He looked confused.

I explained what happened today, and he was invested. It cheered me up a bit, but I was still sad.

"Girlll you need to just ignore him, talk to that other guy Damian instead" Jeremy said.

I guess I'll take his advice.

"Okay, thats what I'll do then...!"

"Alright!" He said back, cheerfully.

"You should really go, I'm sure my parents will be back soon." I told him.

"Alright, bye y/n!" Jeremy said, getting up and walking out the door.

I've GOT to show up to school looking good tomorrow.
