"AND YOU'RE sure your wrist is okay? You know, you could have stayed home to rest! I don't want you to overwork it, it's still healing!" Troy had been fretting over Lauren's wrist for all of the bus ride over to the Warrior's next away game.

"Dude, I'm okay, seriously. I'm not even playing!" Lauren reassured her brother, who relaxed slightly. "Whoa.." she whistled as she stepped off the bus to see a flood of news cameras and reporters crowding around the bus to talk to Sean.

"Coach, you lost your appeal with the NFL. Any comments?" A reporter asked, jogging along beside him as he walked, clearly uncomfortable.

"I-I'm just here to watch my son play football. It has nothing to do with my situation with the NFL." He replied.

"Just a few questions!" The rude reporter pushed.

"No comment." He said politely but equally as firm. The boys excitedly crowded around the cameras shouting and waving, siked to be on the news. A sea of boys yelling comments.

"Our coaches are the best!"

"Coach Payton is great!"

"We're going to the champs!"

"HI world!"

"Brooke, Harlan loves you!"

"Connor has a big fat crush on Laurie!"

"Yeah! Connor's in love with Laur!"

"We're on the news!"

"Not guilty!"

Gus the bus driver and Mitch, walked past the reporters, Mitch putting up his sack of oranges to cover his face as if he were some huge celeb.

"No comment! No comment." He spoke to the silent reporters.

"They weren't asking you nothin!" Gus blurted.

"Coach Payton is really givin us some screen time, I feel like a celebrity!" Brian grinned at Laurie who he walked with.

"Perks of having a coach from the NFL, huh?" She chuckled. "Don't you think it's kinda rude, though? Them crowding him like that?" Laurie shrugged.

"Considerate Laurie." Brian shook his head, making Laurie sigh. "But you're right." He smiled, nudging his friend playfully.

"Excited to play the 'Porcupines'?" Laurie asked, cringing slightly at the odd football team's name.

"As if!" Brian scoffed. "Nah, the porcupines have beat our asses for years! And badly too. Wouldn't be surprised if today's game went the same as past games." Brian shivered.

"Man, that sucks, I played their girls lacrosse and soccer team, they were really hardcore, any chance their football is too?" Laurie asked.

"They sure are, just you wait and see." Brian grimaced. Behind the two friends chatting, Connor trailed behind, observing the two, feeling jealousy bubble inside of him. He wanted to run up and tell Laurie he was sorry and just wanted the best for her. He'd noticed the brace on her wrist and how she looked less tired, and he was glad she was taking care of herself. But he wanted to tell her that he was sorry, and he didn't want to be in a fight with her. Because he loved her  because he truly did want the best for her. And he loved her...
