Meanwhile, another figure joined the party. She was requested a week before and the one that invited her almost didn't remember she did.

Mia Jensen was with her friends by the hot tub when suddenly Jessica started to shout her name.

"Hannah! Hannah Baker!" She shouted multiple times.

"Can you do me a huge favor and grab me a slice of pepperoni?"

"Sure" Responded Hannah from a distance. Mia, that was across from Jessica in the jacuzzi, kept her eyes on the new girl that arrived at the party.

"Hannah me too" Shouted Zach this time, asking for her to bring him two slices. Hannah grabbed the whole box and made her way toward the teens.

"Baker's pizza at your service" Hannah joked, giving the box to Jessica.

"Oh, my God! You are amazing." Said, Jess.

"Thank you Hannah" Thanked the kids passing down the slices for everyone, and while everyone grabbed one Mia didn't, she 'wasn't' very hungry.

"You are getting pizza grease on the water" Complained the girl by Zach's side.

"I read that pepperoni oil reduces cellulite," Jessica said turning to the unknown girl. 

"I actually read the too, but it only works when it's mixed with cheese." Joined the joke, Hannah.

"And tomato sauce." They laughed.

"You have been here the whole night?" Asked Mia, making Hannah look at her for the first time since she arrived.

"No, I just got here," She said, smiling at her. The small action noticed by Montgomery, that since the prom they had months back, couldn't take the picture of Hannah having a crush on Mia.

"You want to join us?" She asked, mentioning the hot tub.

"I didn't bring any swimsuits."Commented Hannah.

"That's okay, you come in, in your underwear. I am" She said, showing her almost naked body.

"Don't be such a pussy" Laughed Mia, getting water on the girl.

It was almost like Mia's words were all Hannah needed to hear to do whatever they asked her. Mia was the person she wanted to impress, the only person she wanted attention from, but also the only person that didn't care about her at all.

Many splashes later Hannah decided to join the group, and the same reaction Mia had Hannah had as well, a slight shiver.

"So what made you come to the party Baker?" Asked Zach over the loud music.

"Let's say someone special invited me" Hannah smiled, she tried everything to cover the silly smile but didn't succeed. After Mia stopped by her house the other day, all she could think was that Mia found a safe place in her, and maybe that safe place could turn into something more.

"Who is the lucky guy?" Mia spoke, her eyes fell on Hannah and for a second she watched her face fall.

"You don't know him" She tried to end the conversation there, but again she didn't succeed.
