Chapter thirty-one

Olivia's pov:

October 2021

I had just woken up from a little nap which was much needed, since I haven't gotten used to the time difference. We are in Austin, Texas this week which is so exciting. It's only Tuesday today, so Charles and the other drivers still have two days until they are driving.

Today is a big day, because today is the day where my good friend, the one and only 'Carlos Sainz' , is asking his girlfriend to become his wife, and I can't wait. I feel so lucky to be there capturing the moment in pictures, and be the first to congratulate my friends.

"Are you back in the photography game?" Charles said excitedly as I was packing my camera stuff into a bag. "Nah, but I'm just gonna go out and take some pictures to clear my head a bit" I said and smiled. Taking pictures has always been something I do, whenever I need to clear my head, whenever I want to be alone and just something I have enjoyed doing. But ever since the accident it hasn't completely felt the same, but today I will go out and take some wonderful pictures of my friends.. "Oh, want me to come?" he asked, smiling. "It's fine babe really, I think it will be good for me to do this by myself" I said. I hate that I had to lie to him, but I promised Carlos not to say anything to anyone about this, so I kept my word, even though it's so difficult.. "Of course, I understand. Well have fun then" he said and got up from the chair he was sitting on, and walked closer to me while I was taking my shoes on. "Thanks, I'll be back soon. I love you" I said and went to give him a goodbye kiss. "I love you more," he said and hugged me.. Then I grabbed my things and walked to the car that we had rented while staying here.

I drove to the most beautiful place Carlos had found, which was located a bit away from the city. I could already see that Carlos and Isabel had arrived because their car was parked here. Carlos texted me to let me know the exact location and that they were taking a walk right now, so I could get my stuff ready.. I took my things from the trunk and walked up the hills of Mount Bonnell, it was hard with all my things but I managed to get on the top.

Luckily there was no one here, so it was perfect..

I had just finished setting my camera up, I was hiding a bit behind some bushes so Isabell wouldn't see me. But I could still get some amazing pictures from here..

After a short wait I heard someone appearing and luckily it was them. Carlos quickly saw me because he already knew where I was gonna hide. He smiled big, but he looked nervous as well. It was cute..

I began taking some pictures as they were standing close to the edge, where they were looking out on the beautiful nature. After a short while Carlos took her hands and began to talk, I couldn't hear what he was saying but I could see on Isabel's face it was touching.. Then it happened, Carlos got down on one knee and pulled out the beautiful ring, Isabel looked surprised and smiled big all over her face, which Carlos did as well..

I captured every single moment, as I kept shooting every second.

Carlos got up, placed the ring on her finger as she of course said yes, then they went for a kiss and a big hug, they both were smiling, laughing and had some tears in their eyes.. I was so happy for my friends, really!

"Congratulations!" I said laughing, as I popped out from my hiding spot. "Omg what, thanks!" Isabel said laughing, surprised that I was here. "Yeah thanks Olivia, for everything" Carlos said giving me a big hug, so did Isabel. "You really knew all along?" Isabel asked, smiling. "Yeah, and oh lord it has been hell to keep this a secret" I laughed, so did they both.. "She really helped with everything, the ring, the pictures, the freaking size of the ring, this place everything, she has been the best!" Carlos smiled. "Oh stop it, I'll do anything for you guys" I said and pulled them both into a little group hug.
