"thank you for coming, please come again" isabel shook the hand of her latest client"these pictures are amazing, thanks so much." she smiled at their complete closing the door as they walked out before releasing a sigh from the stressful day of taking pictures of baby. isabel double-checked the photos connecting her camera to her computer making the final touches before printing. it was late, too late to catch public transport when bella finished editing, she checked the bus tracking app, 12 minutes. that wasn't long so she decided to wait, taking a seat on the cold bench instead of calling a lyft.

"isabel?" someone called out as she looked around trying to find the voice that called her. when she did, it was oakley calling her over. "cench, hi" she said walking over to his car "what you doing out so late? i'll give you a ride back to your brothers." the sound of concern filled his one as he unlocked the doors for her "thank you" bella got in on the passenger side buckling her seat belt before he pulled off. she didn't know what to say since they haven't been alone before. oakley noticed and started up a conversation "you alright?" she hummed "yeah, don't worry bout me"

"can't when you look uncomfortable" oakley said looking between the road and her "sorry, i'm not trying to." a smile appeared on her face at his attempt to make her not feel out of place" you good, talk to me." isabel started talking about what she has done in the past couple weeks even though it was not that interesting, oakley drove keeping his ears perked taking in every word she had said but with her phone buzzing, his mind kept drifting between the two. "im sorry, let me check this" he nodded"do your thing" bella checked her phone to reveal, multiple the messages from an unknown number "you've got to be kidding me" she knew exactly who it was"everything good?" she quickly hummed not wanting him to know about her past with charlie, nothing was good with charlie.

isabel got out of the car, double checking if she got everything "thanks for the ride. i appreciate it" he showed her a smile" no problem isabel, maybe next time we'll just drive around. no distractions" butterflies stormed her stomach at his words "sounds good, bye cench." isabel quickly turned around walking towards the house cheesing from ear to ear, she took off her outside necessities. nahla heard her aunts arrival and rushed over to her for a hug followed by dominic who showed a displeased look." why you got this nigga sending shit to my house" she looked at him confused but didn't speak up, not wanting to start anything in the presence of nahla"auntie let's go upstairs!" isabel followed behind nahla towards the guest room where she resides in. nahla immediately got on the bed picking up the flowers and handing them to bella, she thanked the little girl and took a seat next to her, beginning to read the note attached to the flowers. isabel knew the time would come, having to fight a battle between herself. the self that would go back to him vs the side that wants to give up on their 2-year love.

what I did that night cannot be forgiven. I can't buy my way out of it but let me buy your attention - charlie <3
