Trinity's speechless. She's looking up at me in awe.

It's silent. She froze.

To keep me busy during the silence, I grab her shampoo off the shelf in her shower and squirt some of it in the palm of my hand, I pull her to the side, out of the running water so I can start scrubbing the shampoo in her hair.

I close the shampoo with one hand and put it away before gathering up Trinity's hair, lathering it in shampoo. I scrub her hair which unfreezes her. She relaxes as I do this.

I'm about to move us back under the water but Trinity stops me.

I see tears fall from her eyes.

"Aaron. How the fuck did you do that?" She asks, her voice breaking as tears flood out of her eyes. She tries to wipe the tears away but they keep spilling out. "Fuck!"

Must be the pregnancy hormones.

"I was just being honest, Amore." I finish washing the shampoo out of her hair, raking my hands through it.

"Yeah but your honesty is fucking brutal to my heart, but in a good way." She presses her forehead into her chest and inhales a breath. "Give me the shampoo." She sticks her hand out and slowly lifts her head back up to look in my eyes.

I grab it off the shelf again and squirt some in her hand before placing it back on the shelf.

She makes me bend down so it can be easier for her to rub the shampoo in my hair.

The way her nails feel against my scalp make me close my eyes.

I love her nails. Especially when their scratching a part of my body. Like my back.

I stand up when she taps my shoulder and wash the shampoo out. We do this again with the conditioner. We scrub it into each other's hairs before we rinse it out.

By the time we are done washing, we just kiss under the water.

It isn't until after I shut the water off and get out of the shower with Trinity, handing her a towel to dry off, and ruffling a towel against my hair that I realize Trinity never gave me an opinion on me wanting to marry her.

I didn't ask to marry her, I told her what I wanted. I should ask.

"Trinity, do you want to get married?" I ask, wrapping the towel around my waist.

She looks at me, her eyes go big. She just finished brushing through her hair.

I wait for her answer.

She sighs before answering, "Eventually I would but I had a plan. I wasn't expecting anything serious when I started planning my future. I was going to wait five years before I got married and had children. But things change." She points to her stomach. "I love you a lot Aaron it's just, I don't think I'm ready to get married just yet. I want to get settled with the baby before planning for a wedding, after that I wouldn't mind getting married."

I nod, a smile on my face.

"That sounds great, Trinity. We can go ring shopping after we get everything settled with the house." I kiss her forehead and I watch as her face heats up.
