Freewheelin' Dylan

  • Dedicated to Bob Dylan

Robert Zimmerman, enigmatic man,

You changed your name because you can,

You epitomize deepest meaning of free,

Chronicled fifty years of music poetry.

.

How many roads has this man walked down,

Open-mouthed crtics, some wore a frown,

Listeners devoted, we all voted thus,

Dylan is Dylan, that's enough for us.

.

Guitar went electric, 'twas your attitude,

When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose,

Chuckling, sang I would not feel so all alone,

Everybody must get stoned!

.

Through Halls of Fame, Grammy Awards, Oscar

For a movie score, Pulitzer acclaim citation wore,

This musicians' mentor is ever on tour.

But the depths of Dylan we have yet to explore.
