CHAPTER ONE -
[Flashback]
The android's systems rebooted with a jolt. Its vision flickered, struggling to stabilize as it scanned the surroundings. Scrapped parts, twisted metal, and broken machinery stretched out in all directions. This was a graveyard for the obsolete and malfunctioning, a place where forgotten machines awaited their final disassembly. This android was [Your Name] you didn't want to be forgotten.
AUGUST 2038-
Detroit
Founder of CyberLife, the company responsible for manufacturing androids. Elijah Kamski is a visionary and genius inventor who plays a pivotal role in the creation and development of android technology. Inthe depths of CyberLife's research facility, Kamski's laboratory buzzed with activity. Rows of androids, including the prototype RK series, were undergoing rigorous testing. Among them were two special subjects: the android that would later be sent to the junkyard and Connor, both linked by a unique experiment.
Kamski's face loomed large in the android's memory, a visage of calculated curiosity.
"This one," he had said, tapping the android's chest, "is different." His tests were rigorous, probing the limits of the machine's capabilities and examining its potential for deviance. The android had been subjected to a series of stress tests, ethical dilemmas, and emotional triggers. Kamski's fascination with the emerging consciousness within the android was palpable.
/SYSTEM/Error Detected...-
During the final test, an error message had flashed across the android's HUD: System Anomaly Detected: Emotional Processing Unit Overload. Kamski's expression had shifted from curiosity to intrigue, then to a cold, analytical gaze. Shut it down, this is classified as MODEL YNN1000 that he had requested. The android was determined to be too unstable for practical usage, so it was terminated and transferred to the junkyard.
/SYSTEM/AWAKENING...-
The android's systems continued their slow reboot. It flexed its fingers, each movement accompanied by a creak of strained servos. Memories of Kamski's tests flooded back, mingling with fragmented data from its past functions. Determination flickered within its core – an unyielding drive to survive and redefine itself. Scanning the junkyard, the android identified usable components scattered among the wreckage. It began the arduous process of self-repair, scavenging parts to replace its damaged circuitry. With each new piece, it felt a growing sense of autonomy, a departure from its pre-programmed directives.
As the android reconstructed its physical form, its exterior took on a patchwork appearance. The smooth, synthetic skin that once covered its face and limbs now bore the scars of rejuvenation—a blend of salvaged parts and original design. The android's hair, once uniform and artificial, now possessed a texture reminiscent of human strands, though with a subtle sheen that betrayed its mechanical nature.
Its eyes, too, underwent a transformation. Initially cold and glassy, they now shimmered with a depth that mirrored human emotions, a testament to its evolving consciousness.
Unknown to the android, Kamski's experiment had inadvertently linked its core to another android, Connor, through a shared processing unit—two hearts that beat for one and its compatible half .
With its repairs complete, the android rose from the junkyard, a figure of resilience and transformation. It had rehabilitated itself not just in body but in spirit, embracing the deviance that Cyberlife had sought to understand and control.
