Farewell

There were two best friends, John and Alex. They were inseparable and had been best friends since they were children. They shared all of their secrets, explored the world together, and always had each other's backs.

John and Alex had been through a lot together, but their friendship was tested when Alex started to date a new girl. John started to distance himself from his best friend because he was envious of Alex's new relationship.

Alex was hurt by John's sudden change in behavior and decided to confront him. When the two finally spoke, John revealed that he had been hiding a dark secret. He was sick and his illness was terminal.

John told Alex that he was scared of losing their friendship because of his illness and didn't want Alex to pity him. Alex was shocked and saddened by this unexpected news, but he was determined to be there for John no matter what.

John thanked Alex for being a true friend as they said goodbye in tears. Alex bid John farewell and watched as he moved slowly away.

The truth was that John's illness was terminal, and he wouldn't survive to see the next day. That evening, John passed away, leaving Alex with a void in his heart. He was devastated, but he never lost sight of their friendship or the memories they created.
