....
"WELL DONT BE RUDE, JESSE, LET HIM IN!" James yelled.

A few seconds later Jesse appeared in the door of the living room, with a man in tow.
The man had twinkling blue eyes and a long white beard, which he could tuck into his belt.

"Hello Sir, are you here to adopt, or just visit?" James said politely.

"Oh I'm here for a... Jesse Hughes?" The man glanced at Jesse, before carrying on.
"How rude of me!" He exclaimed, his blue eyes twinkling, "Albus Dumbledore, and you must be James White?"

James nodded, and sent a smile to Jesse, who grinned back.
"Yes, uh-"

"Just call me Albus, dear man."

James half smiled, before carrying on.
"Yes, Albus, and this is the Jesse you are looking for." James said.

Albus turned to Jesse, and twinkle in his eye, and asked Jesse a question that turned her whole life upside down.
"Do you believe in magic?"

Jesse's memories went out of control, and she fainted, spinning into a world of memories and bright, swirling colours.

-START OF MEMORIES-
"Shut up you stupid child." A mean voice snapped, as one and a half year old Jesse sat on the floor bawling.
"Silencio." The voice drawled, and Jesse's sobs went quiet.
....
Four year old Jesse was sat on the floor cross legged, a book in front of her and a small guitar by her side.
"I wish I could reach the guitar book." Jesse though, then suddenly the book she wanted came flying across the room, and she caught it in her small hand, smiling.
....
"Can't catch me!" Seven year old Jesse giggled, running across a meadow, the twins, Jack and Finn, chasing after her.
The two boys laughed, and continued chasing her, before catching up and tackling her to the ground, tickling her.
Jesse's small laugh rang out across the meadow, as she wriggled hopelessly.
Jesse laughed and wriggled, when suddenly she was ten meters away from the boys, and she giggled, before running away again.
....
Ten year old Jesse was laying on the lawn in the pouring rain, when James called her inside for dinner.
Knowing she would have to dry off, she trudged inside, but by some miracle she was dry by the time she got inside. Shrugging it off, she smiled, and went to the dining room.
-END OF MEMORIES-

Jesse sat up quickly, and grinned at Albus, who looked concerned.
"Yes, yes I do."
~
After 15 minutes of explaining and very shocked looks, Jesse decided she would go to Hogwarts with Albus Dumbledore, and said some very sad goodbyes to her friends, but told them that she would come back and visit in the holidays.

"So Jesse, are you ready to go?" Albus asked.

"Yes, Sir." Jesse grinned, before hugging James and grabbing her backpack and guitar.

"Okay, grab my arm." Albus said, holding out his arm.

"BYE JAMES!!!" Jesse yelled before everything disappeared in to darkness and swirls, and Jesse had the feeling she was being pulled through a very small tunnel.

She squeezed her eyes shut to get rid of the dizziness as they landed, and stumbled a bit, before glancing around.
Ahead of her, through two massive gates, was a humongous castle.
Jesse 'awed' in amazement, before running towards the gates. Albus chuckled behind her, and opened the gates, letting the 13 year old run towards the castle.
It took about ten minutes to get to the castle, but once they were there Albus opened up the big, wooden doors, and Jesse ran into the entrance hall.

"this is... AWESOME!" Jesse yelled and her words echoed around the hall.

"Come, Jesse, we must carry on, you'll get a tour with the first years in two days." Albus's eyes twinkled, and he lead Jesse up to a tower, where there was a wooden door in the wall.
"Hagrid will take you to get your school stuff tomorrow, but now you better get some sleep, for it has been a long day."

And with that, Albus Dumbledore walked away.
Jesse smiled happily, and entered the room, before gasping in surprise.
It had a queen sized four poster bed with scarlet red covers and cream pillows, a massive wooden wardrobe, a desk and chair, a fluffy cream mat on the floor, and a wooden trunk at the end of the bed.
Jesse practically skipped to the bed, and put her guitar down next to the wardrobe.
She then unpacked her clothes from her backpack, and put them in the wardrobe, but that didn't take very long, as she didn't have many clothes.

Even though Jesse appreciated everything James did for her, they never had very much money, so Jesse never had many clothes or toys.
After she had unpacked her clothes, Jesse got out one of the twins beatles band tee, which came down to her knees, and a pair of black pyjama trousers, and pulled them on.
By this time Jesse was very tired, and flopped onto the bed, putting her walkman headphones in and turning the Beatles on.
She thought over everything that happened that day, and smiled, before falling into a deep sleep; dreaming of magic, horrible parents, orphans, new friends and home sweet home.
