"Who the hell is calling so late on a Saturday night?" Maya frowned reaching across her wife to grab her phone from the coffee table
"Deluca-Bishop" Maya answered
"Good evening Mrs Deluca-Bishop, This is Michelle George speaking from Social services. We have an emergency placement for a 4 year old and was wondering if you were willing to take them in?"
"Uhh... Can I discuss it with my wife and call you back?" Maya asked still processing what she just heard
Maya and Carina recently registered as foster parents but she didn't think they'd get a placement so quick
"Yes no problem, but I need an answer as soon as possible because as I said it's and emergency placement"
Maya replied then hung up and met her wife's curious eyes as to why she was mentioned in the phone call
"That was the social worker Michelle, she has needs an emergency placement for a 4 year old and asked if we'd be willing to take them in?" I relayed the message
"Oh wow... I- Are you ready bambina?" Carina asked looking at her wife unsure
"I mean- I've been preparing for this since we registered and the room is ready so, Yes?" The brown eyed Italian asked
"Yeah?" Her wife asked with a smile spreading across her face
"Yeah" Maya smiled and leaned in to kiss her wife's lips
"Okay, I'm gonna call her and tell her yes" Maya smiled and dialed Michelle's number and told her they we in.
"Okay, I'll bring him over tomorrow around noon" Michelle informed Maya and Carina as the phone as on speaker
"Okay we'll be ready, is there any information you can tell us?" Carina asked nervously
"Uhm well I can't tell you much yet, but I can tell you his a boy named is Grayson and his 4 years old that's all the information I'm allowed to give until we see each other tomorrow" Michelle said and the couple nodded their heads processing the information
They ended the call after confirming the time and address for tomorrow and the wives sat in silence
"We're really doing this huh?" Maya asked her wife laying her head on her wifes lap
"Yes we are" Carina said with a small smile on her face
"Let's go to bed beautiful, We need to get up early tomorrow to everything ready for Grayson" Maya said up turning off the TV then held her hand out for her wife to take
Carina took her hand and Maya walked them to their room since they sat in the upstairs TV room
"Goodnight baby" Maya said getting comfortable with Carina face nuzzled in her neck

"I love you most" Maya replied with a smirk
"Impossibile" Carina mumbled half asleep

"Auntie Yaya!" Her son Marco ran to door when I walked in
