Kate and I walked down to the buffet. "I'll go get the food just go and find us a table." She pointed to an empty table.
I sat down and got on my phone. I open Snapchat and the camera was facing me. I could see that somebody was standing behind me staring at my phone.
"Hey." It was Hayes.
"Oh hi."
"I never got your name yesterday", he said with a smile. He was kind of blushing.
"I'm Meg." I laughed and tried to cover how uncomfortable I was.
"Well I'm Hayes and I wanted to ask if later tonight you would wanna get dinner or something?"
"Um I don't know." I honestly didn't know..
"Can I have your number then?"
I wrote down the number and he gave me a hug goodbye and kissed my cheek. He's American. Do Americans kiss on the cheek to say bye?
I tried to hide how ecstatic I was until Gabi and Kate both came and demanded I tell them what happened. That took about an hour.

I changed the contact name to "H😇" and checked the text.
H😇- I'll pick you up in your room at 8:00 is that okay? Are you free tonight
Me- Yeah sounds good my room number is 90210.
H😇- K see you soon
