this scandal arose when sooyoung was training for debut, it was completely out of the blue — before the scandal, sooyoung has not been in the public eye for months. a lot of fans attacked her, saying that she wasn't being mature nor was she taking care of her career. instead of working, she was partying without a care. but, some other fans quickly defended her and said that fans didn't rule her life. as well as saying that it doesn't matter what sooyoung does. this scandal was quickly debunked after sooyoung honestly stated that she wasn't at the nightclub.

the public's reaction to this scandal was incredibly shocking to say the least. sooyoung fully expected for her instagram to be flooded with hate comments, instead, fans went on with their day. there were a few hate comments here and there, but it was a lot less than sooyoung AND keeho expected. a lot of fans were confused because they felt as if the couple was random, but they weren't complaining regardless.
