Chapter 8

She looked back out confused. Surely it wasn't them, right? Kurt was always going on about how much he didn't miss Blaine but maybe that was a cover-up? She snapped out of her thoughts when Brittany held her by the arm. "San? you okay?" She asked with a comforting smile. Santana glanced back at Brittany and smiled, "I'm better than okay" She kissed her cheek and took her hand. "you ready to go?" She asked with a small smile. Brittany nodded and followed Santana out of the door. Santana and Brittany emerged from the hotel room, both looking slightly dishevelled but also very content. They walked hand in hand towards the elevator, exchanging small smiles and soft whispers. As they waited for the elevator to arrive, Santana couldn't help but steal quick glances at Brittany, feeling grateful to have her by her side. Brittany, sensing Santana's gaze, turned to her and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek. They both knew this was just the beginning of their journey together, and they were excited to see where it would take them. Once the two had left the hotel Santana turned to Brittany giving her a soft kiss on the lips and pulling her into a close hug. "I have to go back to Kurt and Rachel but I'll meet up with you later?" she asked, smiling softly whilst pulling out of the hug to look at Brittany. Brittany smiled back towards her and nodded, "see you soon Santana" she said before starting to walk away. Santana looked down at her feet for a second and then immediately looked back up and took hold of Brittany's arm, pulling her back towards her. "Britt wait" she said with a soft voice. "I really. enjoyed last night. It was one of the best nights I've ever had in my entire life. And I just wanted to say thank you for that" she said, softly caressing Brittany's arm with her fingertips. Brittany smiled brightly and hugged her, "It was the best night of my life too," she said before pulling out of the hug and kissing her softly. She stayed there for a few seconds, holding onto the moment and just revelling in it. Once she had pulled away, she noticed Santana smiled brightly, "See you later Britt" She said before walking away a little, letting go of her hand slowly whilst walking away. Santana then walked home after spending the night with Brittany. She felt content, happy, and a little bit nervous about what the future held for the two of them. As she walked, she couldn't help but smile at the memories of their time together. They had laughed, talked and kissed until the early hours of the morning. Now, she was left wondering if this was just a fling or something more. Regardless, she knew that she wanted to spend more time with Brittany and see where things could go. As she reached for the front door to the apartment, She took one last deep breath before stepping inside, ready to face whatever the day had in store for her. She then grabbed the door handle and opened it slowly.
