Winter: (sigh) How have you been?

She said, now in a much calmer tone and a warm smile.

Weiss: Oh, splendid! Thank you for asking. I'm in one of the very top rankings of our sparring class! And the rest of my studies are going wonderfully, too! I'm-

(SMACK!)

Winter: Silence, you boob! I don't recall asking about your ranking, I'm asking how you've been. Are you eating properly? Have you taken up any hobbies? Are you making new friends?

Weiss: Well, there's Ruby and Matt.

Ruby: Heh, boob.

Matt: 'Hehe.'

Winter: I see. So, this is the leader you wrote of. Ruby Rose. How appropriately... underwhelming.

Ruby: Uh... Thank you!

Winter: And you must be Matthew Aidan. The rumored boy who leads a solo team of Beacon. Weiss has written a lot about you.

Weiss blushes a little at Winter's acknowledgment, her demeanor softening under her sister's scrutinizing gaze.

Matt: (while bowing) It is truly an honor to be in your presence Madam Schnee. And please, call me Matt.

Winter was surprised by the manner that Matt was showing.

Weiss: 'When did he learned etiquette like that?'

Winter: 'Huh, it appears he's not just a meat head. That's a relief, I'm getting tired of dealing with people like "him". They're a bad example for my sister.'

Winter: Matt... then I look forward to witnessing your skills. And I wish to thank you both for taking an interest in my sister.

Matt: (bowing a little) Please, the honor is mine ma'am.

Matt: After all, it's hard for one to see potential and have it go unnoticed.

Matt: And I do believe you see it in her too?

Winter: Why of course. I've been her sister for her entire life. It's preposterous for me to think other wise.

Weiss watched the exchange with a mixture of surprise and pride, marveling at the newfound rapport between her sister and her  friend.

Meanwhile Ruby lingered at the edge of the conversation, feeling somewhat overshadowed by the exchange.

Ruby: Uhm, maybe.. I'll, sit this one out.

Winter: Nevertheless, I have business with the general and your headmaster. But, seeing as I'm early.. 

Winter: Weiss, why don't you take me to your quarters?

Weiss: Really?

Winter: Yes. I wish to inspect them and make sure that they are up to my personal standards.

Weiss: Of course. Just so you're aware, the bunk beds only look unstable.

Winter: Bunk beds?

Ruby: I'll catch up- I mean, I will... reconvene with you both... at a later...

Matt: Don't you mean. "reconvene with you both in due time"?

Ruby: Yeah, due time! I will reconvene with you both, in due time!

Matt: Anyways, wanna get some grub?

Ruby: Oooh, yes please!

The camera cuts to Weiss, Winter and the androids walking towards the courtyard.
