In which he thinks that she is out of his league, and in which they fall in love on a football field.

Lauren Davis, more commonly known and referred to as Laurie, adored sports. It was plain and simple. She played multiple, practiced every day, and she was good. And she loved it.

She loved the hard work, the rewarding feeling of a good win, she loved the practice, even the sweat and tears and late hours trying to perfect something.

Laurie didn't always have it easy. She began to use sports as a distraction and escape after her mother's death and being left in the custody of her asshole stepfather.

Laurie had lived in Texas her whole life and her stepfather was rarely ever present, but when he was, he was never good to Laurie. Eventually, she got sick of it and did some research, very quickly finding her oldest brother. And so, Laurie went to go find him, knowing she could stay with him. What she didn't know, was that she'd end up helping coach a team of underdog football players, and that she'd end up falling for one of the certain blonde-haired players.

She also didn't know that Connor Payton had been completely in love with her for a long time, thinking she was far out of his league. And, that she'd fall for him too.

A/N: based off of the netflix movie Home Team, all credit goes to rightful owners, I only own my OC's. I suggest you watch the movie first, but I'll try to write this book so one can understand it without having to watch the movie, still I suggest you watch it so you could understand this book and also bc its a great movie!

Also, I only know a bit about football so i apologize if anything is inaccurate. This book is mainly focused on the relationships between characters.
