Prolog - Introduction

A rosekook AU in a world of royals and soulmates.

In a world ruled by a king, five family clans, and mysterious people called Sages.

It all started thousands of years ago when people forgot about love, and life began to disappear. Everything started to die, and the world was slowly disappearing... They had forgotten that love was the one that kept everything alive, that it was the source that made the world beautiful and colorful.
It was the reason why life had meaning.

People could no longer find their happiness, the other halves that could have brought meaning to their lives, that could inspire them to create. It was as if everyone had fallen ill. As if they were blind and could no longer see love.

Their only hope was God. Out of all the people, five wise men from five different families gathered, praying to the heavens to be saved. And their prayers were heard.

Their minds were enlightened, being gifted with wisdom and the gift of seeing and uniting the destinies of people.

Soon, everyone in the world felt a bolt of lightning pierce their bodies, and their hearts began to beat with a new force. As if someone breathed life into them. They felt the need to search, they felt like they have to search for something or someone important, to feel complete...

Without knowing yet, they needed their soulmate...

Unable to cope with the new overwhelming emotions, the people turned to the five sages for help.

Being gifted by God, the Sages became the ones who united the soulmates, and when the two souls joined, identical but unique marks appeared on their bodies, to let them know that they had found each other.

Soon after, a king was chosen, but not an ordinary man, but the firstborn child of one of the five endowed clans.
A king advised by the five Sages, but with the freedom to choose for himself.

The five family clans were Kim, Lee, Park, Choi, and Jeon, known for certain qualities that set them apart from others. Those were Intelligence, Justice, Power, Kindness, Artistry, Humility, Temperance, and Charity.

Although the world regarded them as demigods, they were only humans, and like everyone else, they were seduced by greed and power.

So, I am kind of excited and nervous to introduce a new story, something new for me...

It's been a while since I didn't post anything or writed so it might take some time...

I will try to post the first chapter by the next week!
