Chapter thirteen

I wanted to see Charles, so I agreed on meeting him quickly before qualifying. I walked toward his driver's room, no one really saw me because everyone was busy doing important things.

I knocked on the door, and it opened immediately. He smiled big as he saw me standing there. He looked so good, his brown hair was stunning as always and he had his race suit on, which was perfect for him, red looks way too beautiful in him!!.

"Come in!" He said, I then walked inside and walked closer to him. I kissed him, which I needed.

"What was that for, not that I'm complaining?" He asked while having his arms wrapped around me, his neutral scent smelled nice, and made me feel better, because it reminded me of him. "I just missed you, and I had a bad day so far" I said. It had been almost a week since we last saw each other, so I have missed him so much.

"I missed you as well" he looked directly into my eyes, his eyes were very pretty.

"What happened with Max?" He asked. "He got mad at me because I talk and spend time with you, plus I stood up for myself and told him he should leave me alone, then I walked away" I said. It was horrible arguing with my brother, but I had to say something to him..

"I don't like this, what does he think he is? I mean you know I don't like him either, but we both care a lot about you, but that doesn't give us the right to tell you who you can and cannot talk to!" He said.. "right? I mean I'm really getting tired of this" .. "I know, I'm sorry" he looked down. "It's not your fault, Charles. Don't be sorry, why would it be your fault?" I took my one hand and lifted his head up.. "because if both Max and I could stop hating on each other, the problem probably wouldn't be there" he said, placing his hand in mine. "Don't think like that, please don't" I said.

After almost 20 minutes together I had to head back to Max, but to be honest I would rather be here right now, but I promised and I'm keeping my promise.

"I'll see you later, right?" Charles asked as I was about to open the door. "Of course you will," I said as he walked toward me, giving a long goodbye/good luck kiss, I wished him good luck and then I walked to Red bull. And Charles walked to his garage.

I was standing in the back of the garage on Max's side of course, he was about to go in the car, as qualifying was about to start in a few minutes. "Good luck" I mimed as he looked to see if I was here. "Thanks" he mimed back with a smile, then he took his helmet on and went into the car. I sended him a little smile his way, I mean I was still kinda upset, but at the same time how can anyone be upset with your own brother for so long? It had helped a lot to walk away for a minute, and to talk with Charles. He makes me so happy, who would have thought that, really..

Qualifying could have been better, Max got p3 but if he didn't got his time deleted because of track limits, he could possibly have taken pole. But third is also a good place to start of course. Now he just has to overtake the double Mercedes in front tomorrow.. on the other end Charles could have gotten a better position, he is starting eight which is very unfortunate, I was really hoping for a better result, I know he was too. I felt so bad for him.

Max wasn't happy about the result, so we chose not to speak about it. He had now finished an interview and he was now at the post press conference with Lewis and Valtteri. So I was just walking around the paddock to spend some time, while waiting.

"Hello lovely women" Daniel said and approached me, I laughed. "Hello my favorite Aussie!" He hugged me, a real bear hug! "What a qualifying" he rolled his eyes, he finished 16th which wasn't good. "Yeah, not many are happy today, you'll do better tomorrow!" I said. "I hope so" "oh and how is it going with I must not say his name out loud?" He whispered and laughed, which I did too. "It's really good, he makes me happy, and I like spending time with him" I said blushing. "You are so falling in love, Livia!!!" He looked at me. "Stop it, it's way too early to say! But I do think he's amazing and very dreamy!" I laughed, but said quietly , because there were a lot of people here, and I definitely don't want anyone to overhear this. Of course people won't know who we are talking about, but if we are seen together in public again, people will start with the rumors.

I talked with Daniel for a while, before Lando and Carlos joined us as well. "Does anyone wanna hang at the hotel?" Lando asked, as we couldn't go out till late night, because of the race tomorrow, where the drivers gotta be fresh. "Of course, count me in" Daniel said, Carlos nodded. "I think I'm gonna decline today guys" I said as I already had plans with Charles. "No worries," Lando said and smiled. "Yeah you do," Carlos said and winked. I let out a laugh, oh god Charles definitely told him our little secret, but I can't blame him, I already told Daniel, so I guess we are even.

A few hours went by, I went back to the hotel with Max when he finished the press conference. He went to hang with Daniel, Lando, Carlos and Pierre who also joined them. Max asked a few times if I wanted to come, but I told him I wasn't feeling great and probably just would order room service and go to bed early. Lucky for me he believed me, so I could stay here alone until Charles came.

I got off from the couch I was sitting on as I heard a knock on the door to my hotel room. I opened the door and smiled as Charles was standing there looking handsome. "Get in!" I said and took his hand where I pulled him into the room. He can't stand out there, what if anyone saw him. "Yeah I missed you too" he laughed as I pulled him inside. I rolled my eyes. He pulled me into a kiss. It was amazing, he had his arms around my waist and I had one hand touching his face and the other one behind his perfect hair. The kiss was great and very passionate. I felt everything at this moment, life was great right now.

We were chilling on the couch cuddling, it was great relaxing after a long day at the track. "Btw, have you told Carlos about us?" I asked and looked at him. "Well yeah, I had to tell someone, is it okay, I know he won't tell?" he asked. "Of course, I also told Daniel" I let out a laugh. "I could imagine, it's fine" he said.

"I really like you, Olivia!" he looked at me in a way I had never seen him looking at me. "I like you too a lot, actually!!" I said, his smile got bigger and then he kissed me on my cheek, he's the best.

We talked, watched a movie and ordered room service for dinner. It was delicious. Daniel texted me a few times to check in, he was curious on another level, Charles and I thought it was so funny.

We ate our dinner and talked a lot. He made me laugh so many times it was nice. "So this is a great first date, but please let me take you out for a real one sometime" he said and took a sip of his ice water. "That I would love, but we have to be sneaky then. I don't want Max to find out" I said. "Of course not, I will plan something back home" .. "I can't wait. But this first date right now is pretty damn nice too" I said and laughed as we were literally sitting in a hotel room eating dinner with a movie running in the background, it was nice, nothing fancy and just the two of us.

After dinner we talked and were now sitting on the balcony looking out on the beautiful city Portimao. We were sitting on the little outdoor couch where I was resting my head on his shoulder, and our hands were intertwined. I heard a knock on the door and we looked at each other. "Who's that?" He asked. "I dunno, I'm not expecting anyone.." I said and got up from the couch. "Just sit here, let me check who it is" I said and he nodded.

I walked to the door and opened it. As I opened it I didn't know what to say, it was Max. Wrong time brother, wrong time..!! "Hey Oli, I'm just coming to check on you, are you feeling better?" He asked, concerned. "I'm feeling a little better, but I think I just need sleep" I said, trying to make him leave, and not come inside!.. But that wasn't the case, he walked inside and closed the door, oh no..

So that was it, I had to try something else this time by doing a little cliffhanger!🙈
