Before I Go

It's getting closer to that day
That I will have to go.
To some, it's long,
Others short and sweet;
I still wonder sometimes though.

But I know it's best to let it go,
Let God control unknown;
Things I can change,
I'll rearrange;
All else, God does, He knows.

Whatever happened,
Whatever happens,
I'll do what can; I may.
My God will solve all
Other things,
While I move from day to day.

I'm only one,
But God is big,
And brighter than the sun.
So when it's dark,
And I'm losing heart,
He'll be my shining One.

Before I go,
A monument,
For God, what He has done,
Answered prayers,
Things gone stranger,
Doubt, sin,
Battles won.

While all else fades,
None sure explained
By my own feeble mind,
I know that God will be
More clear;
He sets things all align.

Before I go,
Before I go,
Leaving traces of me behind,
I will return if God wills so,
All things reveal in time.
