UPDATE 5/6/2025:
Hello. I know it's been a while ever since the last update of this getting a rewrite. Also the "Prologue" will become a place for updates like these. I'll be going over a few questions you guys may have on the story, me, ect.
>Q1: Where have I been?
>A1: It's been a LONG while. I've been putting more weight onto a personal project that's developing well and I've decided to take a small break off of it as to remain creatively un-burnt out. So, I'll be putting my energy, time into this rewrite for you guys!
>Q2: Is the title going to change for this story? If so what to?
>A2: Yes, and I have decided on the title! Though that's for me to know and for you to find out.
>Q3: Are the main characters going to stay the same?
>A3: Yes, and "Deven's" name is being edited to the correct format of "Devan." That change has itched my brain in many ways. Alongside, adding more flavor to these guys and making them act their, uh, age? Most of the characters, excluding Willow, are adults. You may consider that surprising due to the language being thrown around and how immature they act throughout the chapters. I was an edgy kid with an edgy mindset on how people act. Throw tomatoes at younger me if you wish I don't blame you. Also it felt very inconsistent with the tone I was trying to set. Instead of a grim, moody, and thought-provoking story about humanity or something like that. It ended up being a group of toddler adults who can't go without cursing as if they've been written by Vizipop. And they have a goal of leaving a place that's Russian. Alongside trying to make petty drama feel emotional.
You can see why this story is getting a rewrite.

As to add onto this, I'm doing my best on rewriting these characters to have a sense of relatability and realism.
>Q4: Is the story itself going to change? Will there be a new setting, timeframe, ect.
>A4: Yesn't. The surrounding idea that pushes the story forward is going to stay the same but the setting, timeframe, is going to be more researched and expanded upon.
>Q5: Why is it taking so long?
>A5: Procrastination. The 1st chapter is still being rewrote :[
It's still been rewritten and is going to be beta read by a friend of mine!
>Q6: Is there a set time frame for when the chapters are going to come out by the time they've been rewritten?
>A6: No, I honestly have no idea when the chapters are going to be done by. I can't promise any dates/release times. Quality > quantity.
I'm still going on the same Quality > Quantity thingy. A developed chapter is better than a unfinished one.
