Kerala has been back in Washington for a month. She hasn't seen her boyfriend in a while, her mental health has been in shambles. Maggie visited her for a weekend, but not even the presence of her best friend could cheer her up. Sapnap has been traveling for a month straight, participating in important meetings, and in a gaming tournament with MrBeast so the option of him visiting her was also off the table. He did everything in his power to keep Kerala happy, he kept texting her at all times, he FaceTimed her when he knew both of them were free and he kept sending stuff to her apartment, like some of his hoodies, flowers, candy, anything that made the girl happy. The boy was supposed to be back home in Florida the next day and Kerala was supposed to visit him that weekend, but she was asked to participate in an international conference so their plans fell through.
"Baby, I can fly out to you if you want me to, don't be sad." the boy tried to cheer her up on FaceTime, but nothing could stop her tears from streaming down her face.
"No, you don't have to, Nick. The conference is on Saturday and I have no idea how long it will take. I don't want you to fly out just to sit in my apartment without me there. It's not worth it..."
"But I miss you like crazy, Peaches..."
"I know baby, I miss you too, I guess we will have to wait a few more days..." she said, her voice broken.
"I'm gonna love the shit out of you as soon as you get here, Peaches." the boy said, finally making the girl laugh out loud. Sapnap smiled upon seeing her expression light up, but he noticed how her face contorted into a painful frown. "Everything alright, baby?"
"Yeah, I woke up with some pain in my stomach, I think I had something bad to eat, It's not a big deal." she said, making the boy worry even more.
"If you say so, Peaches."
