ｎｅｖｅｒｌｅｔｙｏｕｇｏ－ＲＯＬＥＭＯＤＥＬ
Sapnap was looking around the airport searching for Kerala. She told him she was going to pick him up alone because Jack had hockey practice and Maggie was still at work. The young couple was staying at Jack's place in the guest bedroom for the few days they were spending in New Jersey due to Maggie's insistence. The Texan boy spotted his girlfriend in the middle of the airport, looking beautiful as ever, texting away on her phone. Nick smiled upon seeing her, he knew the girl was blowing up his phone about his whereabouts from the constant buzzing he could feel in his pocket. He started walking in her general direction and the girl finally decided to look up from her phone and she quickly locked eyes with him. The boy engulfed her in a hug as soon as he was close enough to her, inhaling her familiar and calming scent.
"Hey Peaches. I missed you." he said in a low voice and pressed a loving kiss on the short girl's forehead.
"I missed you too, baby. How was your flight?"
"Boring."
The girl left a quick kiss on the boy's lips which caused his smile to grow even wider.
"Are you tired? Hungry? Did you get breakfast?"
"I'm fine Peaches, I'm just nervous about meeting the others."
"Don't be, pretty boy, they already love you. Now, let's get you to the apartment so I can cook you something, alright?" the boy nodded excitedly, he loved her meals and he was craving her carbonara the whole week. It was her comfort food, she made it quite often and he knew she was making it without even asking. They walked out of the airport hand in hand and Kerala led Nick to a very expensive-looking car.
"Is this Jack's?" he asked in awe. He wasn't a "car guy" per se, but he appreciated nice vehicles.
"Yeah, it's his pride and joy. Maggie says he loves it more than her."
"Then why did he let you drive it?" he said jokingly which earned a fake offended look from his girlfriend. "I'm joking, pretty girl, you are a surprisingly good driver." he added and kissed her on the lips. The girl rolled her eyes in fake annoyance and started up the car so that she could go to their current home.
"So what is this huge event this weekend that all of your friends are flying here?"
"Well... It's the season opener for the local NHL team, the Devils and both Jack and Luke - Jack's younger brother - are on the team. It is actually Luke's NHL debut so it's already a big deal, but they're also playing the Vancouver Canucks so Quinn is here as well - he's the oldest Hughes brother. It's gonna be a fun game for sure."
"Ok, I get it now. And we're going to the game?"
"Yeah, we have box seats I think. Also, Maggie thinks Jack is going to propose at dinner afterward."
