Chapter 21
dieforyou-theweeknd
Kerala and Nick spent the rest of the day hanging around in the boys' room, having some quality time with one another. However, it was Friday, which meant that Sapnap had to join George's and Karl's stream. He didn't want to, he was very comfortable cuddled up to the pretty girl that took the effort to fly down to him, but he promised he would be there the day before. If it wasn't for Kerala's insistence he would have said no without giving it a second thought, but the girl assured him that she needed to catch up on some work and she needed a few hours for herself anyway. So with a pouty face and one last kiss, Nick got up from his bed and went to find his friends. The two boys have gone live already, they were waiting on the Texan to actually start the stream.
Kerala on the other hand grabbed her laptop and went downstairs to sit down on one of the bar stools in the kitchen, she thought it would be a convenient spot to catch up on some work. She was so focused on one of her emails that she didn't notice the blonde boy joining her in the kitchen.
"What are you doing?" he asked, scaring the oblivious girl.
"Jesus, Clay, don't sneak up to me like that..." she said holding her chest as if it would calm her racing heart. "I'm working, I have to catch up on some stuff."
"Oh, I'll leave you to it then. I don't wanna bother."
"You're not, you just scared me. What's up?"
"Nothing. I just came down here to get some energy drinks and I'm joining the stream after."
"Okay, good luck, have fun!" she said and the blonde thanked her and left the kitchen with his hands full of energy drinks.
A few hours later, after she finished everything she had to, Kerala climbed up the stairs to grab her nail kit. Given the fact she left her home in a hurry to surprise her boyfriend, she didn't have time to redo her nails and her polish started to look terrible. Growing up, her mother used to say that a woman should always have pretty nails and hands, so the girl liked having a nice manicure all the time. For her doing her nails was like therapy, a moment for herself per se. She climbed down the stairs to take her previous spot back, even though the ring lights beside Sapnap's setup were calling for her name, she knew having great lighting was not worth it: if she got the tiniest bit of nail polish on the boy's mousepad he would have been upset, which the girl didn't want at all. She barely got time to start her process, she heard heavy footsteps coming down the stairs. She knew it was Nick, she could hear it in his steps, so she smiled instinctively.
"Hey pretty, is everything alright?" he asked as soon as he spotted her in the kitchen. He stepped closer to her and embraced her lightly from behind while he pressed a few kisses on her head.
