Sleeping & Awake

Let me sleep inside of your chest,
nestle deep within your ribs,
fingers numb and bloody from digging for your soul
Tell me who you are?
Show me your ghosts,
they're weighing heavy in my lungs

My hallowed chest barren of all the flowers once  growing here
They were held by hands once so cruel
Withering away, just a waste of skin
I was born from nothing other than sin

My eyes are heavy
Oh so heavy
But I'm trapped in the space
Between sleeping and awake
Can you hear the eerie silence embracing us now?
Because I can feel it aching deep within my bones

Am I dreaming? Am I here?
Am I trapped within the space
between sleeping and awake?
Will I find my way out from this insanity?
