For today
my soul cries out
for all the women
being suppressed
by the government
that tries to play god
I am full of rage
for my sisters who
will lose their battle
because they were forced
to carry to term
when it would bring death
My heart goes out
to those who have been touched
Without consent
and forced to carry
the weight of what happened
to a full term
Because these men
in suits
that try to say they're for the people
have stripped us of our rights
to our own bodies
For it it's sickening
knowing that a clump of cells
has more rights than me,
I am
a woman
I am full of rage,
because this is merely
just the beginning
