A/N: Lemon Warning (and no, I am not happy about it)
Violet just finished collecting mushrooms, but she doesn't know if they're good to eat. She walks through the camp and over to Lori, who's cooking food in a pot over a fire.
She sits down on box and looks at Violet.
Lori: Any luck?
Violet makes it up to her.
Violet: How do we tell if they're poison? She says, dumping the mushrooms into a bowl that Lori's holding.
Lori: Uh, there's only one sure way I know if. She says, handing a spoon to Violet.
She starts examining the mushrooms.
Violet: Ask Shane when he gets back?
Lori: Yeah, you've got it. She says, rubbing her fingers on her pants to get the dirt off.
Lori sets the bowl down and grabs the bucket Violet was carrying.
Violet: Thank you.
She stands up and looks at Dale, who's on top of the RV with his rifle and binoculars.
Lori: Dale?
Dale looks at her.
Lori: I'm headin' out.
She looks at Carl, who's playing with toy trucks.
Lori: Sweetheart, I want you to stay where Dale can see you, okay?
Carl: Yes, mom.
Lori's about to start walking off, but stops when Dale speaks.
Dale: You too! Don't wander too far. Stay within shouting distance. And if you see anything, holler. I'll come runnin'.
Lori starts walking.
Lori: Yes, mom.
Lori walks down a dirt path with the red bucket into the woods. She walks through the woods until she finds some more mushrooms.
She crouches down and starts picking them and putting them in the bucket. She hears leaves crunching, so she stops and looks behind her.
She continues as birds fly out of a tree. After picking a few more and putting them in the bucket, she stands and starts walking.
After a few seconds, she hears a branch snap, making her stop and turn around with a slight gasp.
She hears more birds chirp and fly out of a tree. She starts breathing heavy. She turns around when she hears more branches snapping and birds flying.
She looks in all directions and doesn't see anything.
She turns around. Someone covers her mouth with their hand and brings her to the ground, making her gasp. She starts breathing nervously. She finds out it's Shane.
Shane: Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh...
Shane smiles when he finds out Lori's smiling. She hits his arm and he takes his hand off her mouth.
Lori: You scared the hell out of me.
Shane gets on his knees. He chuckles.
Shane: I bet--that's what you get for keepin' me waitin'.
He leans down, making them face-to-face.
Shane: I was tryin' to be quiet. Where you been?
Lori: Violet the mushroom queen--I had to wait for her to get back.
