As Ezra slowly came to the light of consciousness voices floated down around him. His eyes flittered open and were greeted by a hazy sky filled with starcrafts of all colors and skyscrapers of unimaginable height. Gradually he focused on the small group of people standing around him with worried expressions. They were all attired in the same style of robes that looked slightly familiar to Ezra, the only difference were the colors which varied from beige to ebony. It took him a moment before he noticed they all had lightsabers clipped to their utility belts. Suddenly invigorated by curiosity Ezra sat up grunting softly at the effort.

"You're awake." One man said next to him. He was older with dirty blonde hair combed straight back with snapping blue eyes and he wore black robes. Ezra noticed the man's left hand had a black glove on it.

"I'm Luke Skywalker. Mind telling me your name?"

The man stuck his right hand out towards him. Ezra ignored it and pushed himself to his feet, regarding the group cautiously as he backed up a pace to put some distance between them. Luke smiled gently and held his hands up in a surrendering gesture.

"Hey, it's okay. We're not going to hurt you. We just want to ask you a couple questions." Luke said calmly.
Ezra was only half listening to him though. It was just now clicking in his mind that he was no longer on the warm, grassy planet, Naboo. His breathing quickened as he looked around at all the tall durasteel skyscrapers that were built so closely together he found it amazing any starship could fit in between them safely. Walkways weaved in and out of the buildings and around air traffic. The lights and sounds of the bustling city were a bit too much for a boy who came from a open plain planet with few cities that weren't more than a couple factories big. Ezra brought his attention back to were he was standing at the top of an insane amount of duracrete steps. Swiveling his head around he saw an enormous tan duracrete building shaped much like a pyramid made of several giant slabs. Two statues of robed figures like the ones in front of him towered next to the steps were he was standing. With a strangled noise of confusion Ezra ran a hand through his midnight blue hair and stumbled backwards a couple steps.

"Are you okay?" A red-headed boy, about a year or so older than him asked. He had freckles splattered across his face and he had snapping blue eyes like Luke. His outfit was almost the same as the older man's too, Ezra guessed they must be related.

"I- I, um." Ezra croaked. "W-where a-am I?"

The red-headed boy glanced over at Luke before answering.

"You're on Coruscant." The red-head replied.
Ezra's ultramarine eyes went wide in shock and confusion at the answer he received.

"N-n-n-o. Th-that's not right." Ezra stuttered. "I- . . . C-can't be here."

Luke and the red-headed boy gave him a perplexed look.

"What do you mean?" Luke asked attentively.

"I w-was on Na-Naboo just a f-few sec-seconds ago." Ezra said, looking around. Growing more and more puzzled by the second. Luke, along with the rest of the small group, looked bewildered by Ezra's remark and the older man took a step closer to the boy which made Ezra flinch.

"I think you should come inside for just a moment." Luke said, gently gesturing towards the building behind the boy.
Ezra shook his head and stepped away from him.

"No! I have to get b-back!" Ezra yelled.

"Just calm down. I'm sure we can figure this out." Luke said, stepping forward quickly and put a hand on Ezra's shoulder. Ezra immediately tensed and tried to move away, but Luke tightened his grip on him.

"Just tell me your name." Luke said.

"Ezra. Ezra Bridger."  The red-headed boy looked baffled, but quickly covered it up before anyone else noticed.
Ezra shot him a quizzical look before frowning up at Luke.

"Now let me go and leave me alone!" Ezra snapped, pushing Luke back.
An older man with deep brown hair tied back in a small bun and green eyes stepped forward from the back of the group.

"Ezra. No one's going to hurt you, all right? We just want to know what's going on." He said kindly. "I'm Corran Horn. I'm a Jedi." He unclipped a durasteel lightsaber from his belt and showed it to Ezra.

"That's not possible." Ezra breathed, shaking his head in disbelief. "The Empire-"

"The Empire?" A striking older woman interrupted him.
She had golden brown hair that was tied up in buns on each side of her head with warm brown eyes. Her outfit was different from the others around her. Her outfit consisted of a tight long-sleeved white shirt and pants with black knee-high boots. She too had a lightsaber clipped to her belt.

"The Empire was destroyed years ago." She said matter-of-factly.

"No, the Empire still- " Ezra began.
He trailed off as he looked at the perplexed expressions on the 'Jedi's' faces. Their lack of belief confused him even more and the commiseration he sensed annoyed him, making it hard to think straight.

"Ezra? What year is it?" Luke asked suddenly, looking attentively down at him.

"Thirty-two thousand seventy-two." Ezra stated, not understanding why the year was so important.
Luke knitted his eyebrows and frowned at his answer.

"Why?" Ezra asked, confused by the man's reaction.

"Ezra, it's thirty-three thousand twenty-seven."
