58.) star-screaming

Shooting stars streak through the night sky like misdirected lightning
from the fingertips of Zeus.
It's exhilarating, thrilling, frightening
riding the rainbows and meteors setting them loose
off their orbits,
break the circuits.

Wreak havoc across the galaxy if comets are too shy to,
sleep with your night-light like a child because you know I'm coming for you too.
Nightmares plaguing minds, birthing insomniacs in shades of woe and blue.
Behold the light of twilight when dawn breaks and the day is new.

We are celestial entities,
whom live galaxies away.
It'll take you centuries
to reach us from the Milky Way.
You can't stop us so don't try,
you have no choice but to stay.
But this universe is expanding so don't cry.
You'll all die soon anyway.

A black infinity, its cluster-blocks of stars like fairy lights, shining.
Space is like the night of your mind, forever shifting, dreaming.
Constellations strictly in place like destiny aligning.
Melodious voices flow out of black holes, they're of beings star-screaming.

Outer space is an endless night,
with countless suns so bright.
So dark yet so light.
A large blanket that stretches beyond sight.

Supernova blasts when stars die,
and when a new star is born it's like someone turned on a light.
Galaxies smothered with magenta dye,
a myriad of colours all in place, all so right.

This is the universe, so behold it from afar.
A million of its mysteries unknown forever more.
You only get to live on one planet, one star.
That burns bright and warm at its core.

Be thankful that you can't hear the screams of Saturn.
That you aren't in death's pattern.
That you aren't floating like an ice sculpture slowly dying in space all alone.
That you aren't star-screaming when your planet explodes and is blown all on its own.
