We Will Survive (Zombie apocalypse)

Chapter 3

Hannah POV

I'm the only one awake when I wake up, it is still dark outside. I decide to look around the house for things we need. This house is huge! There is two bedrooms on the Main floor and 4 upstairs. And entire basement which is like a living space that has 2 bedrooms. This house has its own water and electricity. I decide to inventory the entire kitchen, and other major supplies. This house looks untouched, even the some of the fresh food in the fridge look okay. Which is great. We won't have to go off this property for awhile.
"Umm excuse me Hannah" Morgan says, looking tired
"Hey Morgan how was your sleep?" I say
"It was okay but Joey snores so I heard him sometimes" she says " I have a question. are we staying here? I like it here"
"Yes Morgan. I think we are. But I don't think we will stay here forever. But for awhile we can stay" I say
"I miss my mommy" Morgan says suddenly
"I miss my mommy too" I say trying to hold back the tears thinking about her.
"Can we wake everyone up now?" She says
"No. Let them sleep. It's going to be a long day"
So for another hour or so Morgan and I wrote a list of all the food we had, and once we were done everyone was up
"Hey guys" I say walking back into the living room." Okay so we are going to stay here for a little while and I think this is going to be a good home"
"what about Atlanta?" Jade says
" Atlanta is always going to be there and I'm not even sure if it's still safe. And we can't risk it" I say
"Okay sounds good. Today is going to be a long day. I'm going write a list for everyone so they know what they are doing today. Jade can you watch Morgan? You guys can do your list together" Megan says
" yeah that's fine" Jade says
"Okay so let us write a list and We'll be right back" Megan says as we head into the kitchen
Once we were finished the list we headed into the living room again and showed everyone the List

The list
Morgan and Jade:
-Set up the two bedrooms on the main level, take mattress from other rooms and make one room for Megan and Hannah and one for Jade, Joey, and Morgan
- find everything upstairs that is useful and bring the stuff into the living room

Joey
- go outside and see what animals are still alive.
- see what animal food we have for them
- check the gas level in the other two cars
- bring the rest of our stuff inside and put them in the correct bedrooms

Megan and Hannah
- inventory the kitchen
- check the crops and see what is growing
- clear the basement and take everything useful
- find the energy source and see how much we have left
- find the pantry and inventory it.
-move the freezer into the kitchen and any other food found around the house into the kitchen
- find locks to put on every door

"Okay sounds good" says Joey
"Okay everyone be careful, scream if anything happens" I say handing everyone a knife excluding Morgan.

Throughout the day the list is getting crossed off thing by thing, the rooms are all set up and now Morgan and Jade are making lunch. Megan and I are working on moving the freezer upstairs. As it was in the basement.
"Guys lunch is ready" shouts Morgan in her really cute voice.
Everyone heads into the huge dinning room with enough space for 14 people. We all sit on the far end and talk about the progress of the list
" how's your list going?" I ask Joey
"Im almost finished and really tired already. We have a horse, 2 alive pigs, 3-5 chickens and a whole bunch of dead animals" Joey says. " all I have left to do is check the gas levels"
"That's good. The rooms look great girls. Kind of convent how there was bunk beds here eh?" Megan says
"Yeah I guess so" Jade says
Then we hear noises coming from outside. I run to the window and see 5 people, two children and 3 adults. I grab my gun and run outside the front door
"Put your weapons down!" I yell startling them
"Wooooo! Holy kid you scared the hell out of me!" A man says
" I said put your weapons Down!" I scream and they all do so
" when I come to you tell me your name and how old you are!" I yell and head to the children first. I go to the little boy first and in front of him was a better looking gun then mine.
What's your name? I ask the boy
"Cameron and I'm 8 years old"
"Okay" I say heading to the girl
" and yours?"
"Vanessa" Vanessa says. " I'm 13"
"What do you guys want?" I say
" hi my name is Darren and this is my brother Noah" he says pointing to the other man. " we saw this house and it looked perfect. If you guys already have it. I promise you we will be a good addition. I'm really good at runs and my brother has a great shot. We ran into this family about a week about. We are all good people. We just need to stay safe"
I realize that their lives are in my hand.
" I'll show you guys around"
I lead everyone inside and tell them to wait in the living room.
I head into the kitchen and see that everyone is still there.
"they are staying for while" I say
" okay" Megan says looking unsure.
"So tell us your story" I say walking into the living room
