Introduction - Pt. Whatever at This Point

Start from the beginning

He pulled something around his neck, glanced back at us for a moment, then jumped off the wall with his sword in his hand.

"Spirit!" Mask called, climbing up the wall.

Mask jumped down after him.

We heard loud bangs and crashes, clangs and clinks of swords locking to another.

We all tried to open the gate, but it wouldn't budge.

"Wrong time to get jammed, door!" Wind punched it.

We heard barks from outside, followed by growls and snaps.

"I swear to god if they get rabies-!" Tetra began to yell.

"Ooh! Puppy!" We heard Spirit exclaim.

"Spirit! Don't touch the dog!" Tetra yelled to him.

"But he's so cute!"

"SPIRIT!"

"Awwww! He has such a fwuffy tail!"

Tetra sighed and rested her head on the door.

"It is about eleven in the mornin' and I'm already needin' a glass o' wine- SPIRIT, DO NOT TOUCH THE DOG!"

What seemed to be hours later, but was only thirty minutes, we got the door open enough for us all to fit.

Yet all the monsters were dead, and Spirit was staring at his blooded gloves and clothes.

"A-Are we done yet, puppy?" He asked, "...I don't think I can kill things anymore...I don't feel good..."

The dog looked more of like a wolf, with grey fur and a white belly. Not to mention the mysterious white markings on it's forehead.

A diamond with a dot in the middle, it seemingly forming a crest on its fur.

It now had a red muzzle, though, from helping the boys.

Mask seemed exhausted, on his hands and knees on the ground, panting, with blood slowly dripping from him.

Not necessarily his own, I'd hope.

We each ran to our boys.

I went to Mask, along with Red and Vio, while the rest went to Spirit and the dog.

"Mask, are you alright?!" I asked, setting my hand on his back.

"I- ... I- ... I-I used too many..." He mumbled, panting and coughing.

"Too many what?" Vio asked.

"M-Masks..."

Red cocked his head.

Vio and I looked at each other, concerned.

"Should I-?" Vio began.

"No." I said.

"But he seems to be hurting quite a bit..."

"W-Wait! You guys are starting to sound like you're gonna put him down like a cat! Don't talk like that!" Red panicked, covering Mask.

The dog came over to see Mask.

After staring at him for a moment, the dog licked Mask's wounds.

"No, doggy, stop it! You'll get them infected!" Red pulled the dog away.

Vio reached to pet the dog as he thought of something to do with Mask.

"How many masks did you use?" I asked.

Mask fell, without answer, so I picked him up and tried to wake him up, worried.

"Mask, hey! It isn't funny, now, sprite! Come on, please?"

"He'll be fine, Link." Vio said, "He's just passed out."

"But I think he's hurt..."

"He's okay." Vio said slowly, trying to calm me down.

He's okay.

Alright.

He's okay...

He's all right.

I know.
