- Penelope's Pov -
I am sat in the kitchen drinking another cup of coffee alone at 4am because Loki, Nova and Nathaniel are still sleep while Edward, Emmett and Rosalie are out hunting. I om the other hand haven't slept at all last night because all i kept thinking about was that my babies are Edward's mate's, not one of them both of them are his destined mate's. I can and will not keep them apart because i know what the pain is like being away from your mate. Then if i wasn't thinking about that i was thinking about me being the queen of the freaking supernatural queen like why in the world would mum not tell me that. I thought i could relax now that Bella has been taken care off but now i have to worry about being queen which i know nothing about.
"Sister what has you awake at this hour?" I hear Caius say behind me which makes me jump because i forgot the king's are staying for a couple days
"My babies being Edward's mate's and me being the supernatural queen which i know nothing about" I said resting my elbows on the kitchen island then place my head in my hands
"That's why we are staying, we are going to help you through all of this" He said softly
"I'm going to need all the help you can give me Cai" I said then sighed
"We have books and self knowledge to help you, you will not be doing this alone dear sister" Aro said after he appeared out of nowhere
"When you start teaching me i want free time to spend time Emmett because we haven't really had any time to further our bond and i want to spent time with my babies" I said firmly wanting them to understand my boundaries
"Understandable, we will set up a schedule so we can spilt your time three ways and hopefully it will be even" Aro said thoughtfully
"We can come up with something Aro we always do" Marcus said walking into the kitchen at human speed
"I just hope my and Emmett's relationship will progress because we haven't been on a date yet" I said sadly
"It will progress now that Isabella has been delt with" Caius said smirking and i knew what he was insinuating
"Oh god Caius! I was not walking about that! I just want to have my first date ever with my soulmate not complete the bond!" I said blushing
"Completing the bond on the first date wouldn't be a bad thing sister, you both are mate's after all and you have both lasted this long without giving into to those instincts" Aro said smirking
"Can we please not talk about this! It's embarrassing!" I said blushing more
"MUMMMY!!" I hear Nova yell in fear
My instincts kick in making me jump off my stool and run straight to her bedroom with my soul brother's right behind me and when i get there tears immediately gather in my eyes. There infront of me is my baby girl thrashing around in the middle of her bed and i know straight away she is having a flashback in form of a nightmare. Her pyjama t-shirt rises up her body and i see one of the many scars left from their past with hydra it's the worst on going vertically down the middle of her stomach. Suddenly i hear more then three gasps from behind me and i knew Edward, Rosalie and Emmett are back from their hunt and they are stood behind me but i ignore them and go to Nova who needs me right now.
I go over and lay beside Nova which was difficult seeing as she is sleeping on a single sized bed then i carefully lift her up and gently lay her on my chest so we are chest to chest. I run my fingers through her hair while softly singing you are my sunshine which is Nova's and Nathaniel's favourite song for me to sing during their flashbacks. After singing the song twice she has calmed down so i gently lay her back down on the bed and make sure she has her comfort teddy and blanket within reach. Then i leave her room and go to Nathaniel's bedroom only to see him peacefully sleeping while sucking on his thumb with his favourite ironman teddy crushed to his chest.
Once i finished checking on Nathaniel i leave his bedroom and go straight downstairs into the livingroom with my soul brother's, Emmett, Rosalie and Edward following me. I sit on the couch while they all stand opposite me with worried expressions on their faces seeing them look at me like that made me sigh while dragging my hands down my face. I did not want to tell them just yeat about what hydra did to Nova because it's sad and damn horrific but i know i have to tell Emmett who is my soulmate and Edward seeing as Nova is one of his mate's.
"What is that going down Nova's stomach?" Edward asked clenching his hands into fists
"That's what is left of the last thing hydra did to her before i saved her and Nathaniel" I said sadly
"Baby what did they do to our little girl?" Emmett asked sadly
"They made sure she couldn't procreate because they wanted her to be their weapon, their prized possession! They sterilised my baby girl at two years old! They took her choice of being a mother away from her!" I said the broke down crying at the memory of finding her strapped to that damn metal table
"THEY DID WHAT!!" Emmett and Rosalie whisper yelled through gritted teeth
"Y-you found her like that?!" Edward said in shock looking at me wide eyed
"Like what?" Caius asked sadly
"I found her strapped down to a metal table while a sick twisted son of a bitch stitched her up after finishing the surgery but it wasn't just her in the room they had a conscious Nathaniel in the room who was looking at Nova crying while screaming for them to let his sister go" I said re-living the memory like it was yesterday
"Tell me where those vile humans are i will rip out their throats and paint the walls with their blood!" Caius said angrily
"They are already dead i killed them with Loki by my side" I said coldly with tears rolling down my cheeks
"She was only two years old" Rosalie said in shock with vemon in her eyes
"That explains why your extremely protective over them both and why you have such a strong connection with them" Marcus said with a dazed look in his eyes
"Baby why was she thrashing around like that?" Emmett said softly
"She was having a flashback in form a nightmare it happens every once in a while" I said sadly
"What is hydra and what did they do?" Aro suddenly asked making me sigh angrily
"Sit down and i will tell you but don't lash out because it will wake Nova and Nathaniel" I said trying to calm my anger so phoenix doesn't make a appearance
