- Emmett's Pov -
Me and Rosalie are running towards Penelope's place following Edward who told me that Penelope's alter ego has took over because he took Bella to Penelope's place under the assumption she wanted to apologise but no she didn't infact she decided to take things to far. I am worried about what will happen because i have never met Penelope's alter ego and i don't know if i can calm her down after what Bella made me do but i really hope i can calm her down so Nathaniel and Nova don't see their mummy like that. I can see that Rosalie is worried about Loki but we both know Penelope won't hurt him but she is just worried because Loki is a frost giant and he will not be able to handle the heat that Penelope holds.
When we finally run through the tree line infront of Penelope's house i stop dead in my tracks at what i see infront of me. Bella is laying the the ground looking petrified with Loki stood over the top of her looking completely pissed off. I also see Tony stood at the front door hilding Nathaniel and Nova on his hips, they both are looking at their mummy in awe but slight very slight fear. Then i see my mate, my Penelope stood there and her whole body is literally on fire even her hair is now up in flames and she has a fire ball in each hand ready tk throw the. but what made me stop was she has fire wings they both must be longer then 8 foot long

I step forward remembering that Penelope needs to calm down especially now that Nathaniel and Nova are watching her because i know for a fact Penelope would not want her kids to be scared of her. When i get as close as i can infront of her i say her name softly which makes her head snap towards me and her eyes that now have flames in them connect with mine but i do not move because i'm not letting her think i am scared of her when i'm not. She steps towards me but i raise my hands stopping her because if her flames touch my skin i will be turned to ash her face drops for a mini but then her eyes widen like she has remembered something.
"Baby i want to hug you believe me i do but you have to put the flames out first" I said softly not knowing if my Penelope has control or her alter ego does
"Buttttt i want to hug you too Penelope has had all the hugs now i want one!" She whines out and that's when i know her alter ego is in control
"Phoenix look through Penelope's memories then you will know why Emmett is asking you to put the flames out" Loki said behind me. I watch her put her flames out and her eyes close it wasn't long till her eyes fly open.
"I nearly killed you! I nearly killed mine and Penelope's mate!" Phoenix said with tears in her eyes
"Baby i promise i am okay! Come here my little phoenix" I said softly while holding my arms out and in seconds she ran into my arms crying and sobbing into my chest
"What happened Loki? Why is phoenix incontrol?" I asked wanting to know ehat has my mate so upset
"I broke Bella's shield and Edward heard Bella thinking about taking Nathaniel and Nova to the volturi" Loki said still stood over to the top of Bella
"She. Did. What!" Rosalie snapped out angrily
"Our babies don't let her take our babies!" Phoenix sobbed into my chest
"She won't our babies because i will kill her before she even gets into touching distance of the twins i promise" I said holding back a hiss and hold phoenix tightly
"Edward grab her! We are taking her to the volturi so we can explain everything to them, Emmett your going to have to come with us because this is about your mate aswell as mine! This needs to stop and now!" Rosalie said angrily
"Baby will you be okay if i leave to sort this out so no-one hurts our babies? I can ask Jasper and Alice to come and keep you company while i am gone if you want?" I ask softly
"I will be fine if it means no-one comes to hurt Nathaniel or Nova and yes can you please ask them i will feel safer knowing Jasper and Alice are will us while your gone. Also by the way phoenix isn't incontrol now" Penelope said holding me tightly
"Okay baby i will ask them before we leave, are you okay did phoenix hurt you when she took control?" I said then asked worriedly
"No she didn't but i will have a headache for the rest of the day because she forced herself into control" She mumbled
"We're ready Emmett" Rosalie said softly
"Baby i have to go now but i will send Jasper and Alice over here straight away. Can you go and stand with you dad he is in the doorway holding our babies. I promise to be back as quickly as i can" I said softly
"Be safe Emmett i don't know what i would do if i ever lost you" She said pulling out of my arms
"You listen to me and you better listen good baby, i will always be safe knowing you and our are waiting at home for me because i am never and i mean never leaving you or our babies alone in this world" I said holding her chin with my hand
"But still be safe and come back to us" She said with tears in her eyes
"Always baby" I said softly
"Emmett let's go!" Rosalie said urgently
"I love you baby" I said the looked at her wided eyed damn it i had to say it for the first time just as i am leaving her
"I love you too babe" She said as a tear rolled down her cheek
