" so what you mean to say exactly is that you're leaving me to get killed !"  and for the last time Eliza rolled her eyes.

"Lisa, seriously it's only going to be a month"

"No what a month!... what if you loose a leg or worse what if you loose two legs I can't have a beautiful cousin all crippled." Lisa said feeling quite unsure with Eliza's decision, she didn't think Joe was going to give her the job.

"Hey Lisa there's absolutely nothing wrong with people that are crippled." Eliza said and Lisa rolled her eyes.

"Hope they pay you double." Lisa muttered out

"I'm not in it for the money."

Lisa mouth got opened even more, what the heck did she mean 'not in it for the Money'.

"You better be Eliza, besides what are you going to say to your parents." Lisa tried reasoning hoping that she would realise she was going to break her parents hearts.

" That's when you come in, we can't be  with our phones so do me this favour and reach my parents and tell them that I love them and they shouldn't worry" She gave her a cute puppy look and Lisa even got more irritated.

"gosh seriously Eliza you are too much." Lisa didn't like it one bit but if she knew her cousin well she would know that she was very persistent on anything she does but she was even scared something wrong could also happen to her.

So she gave her a nod indicating that she was definitely going to help her call her parents.

With that Eliza jumped up with joy and ran over to her side and gave  her a huge hug and planted on her face kisses.

"You are the best Lisa!" She said still kissing her and Lisa only chuckled.

"Promise me you will be safe."

Elisa gave her a nod, "I promise Lisa I'll be"

"I'm serious Eliza, don't butt in into things you are not assigned to stay out from danger or any fights and only do your job as a nurse." Lisa was never a person to be too serious but if it's was important she wasn't joking around.

"Ok mom, I've heard what you said." She gave Lisa more hugs and all Lisa could do was give Eliza a smile.

Finally the next day, Eliza got to work early in a rush and the army came into the hospital in the evening and took them in their vehicle.

It was a long boring hectic ride over to the camping ground almost some metres to the battlefield.

Joe the kind gentleman he was,  helped Eliza off from the army vehicle, which of course she thanked him.

Eliza took in her  surrounding, it was exactly  how she expected it to be but better,  a big forest but clear of any bushes or branches enough space and fresh air, some few soldiers jogging here and there with alongside different tents.

She noticed different doctors and nurses coming from different army vehicle, she also noticed some doctors being female and some nurses being also female now was her hospital sexist.

"Well Eliza I hope this is what you want." Joe asked clearly not seeming his happy carefree old self but appeared rather serious, everyone did look serious, they were after all at  'war' and Eliza knew within her that she had to be prepared for anything.

"Doc, there is nothing else that I really want to do but be here." She sounded so confident and sure of herself causing Joe to smirk a little he was impressed with the fire this gentle girl had in her.

The medical workers walked in closer at the entrance and immediately most of them spotted a soldier, he  already walked closer to the crowd.

"Welcome everyone and I must commend each and every one of you for your act of bravery and for volunteering." The soldier voiced out with his deep husky voice  but Eliza couldn't see who was talking  because of the tall male nurse infront of her, he was blocking her sight.

"I'm Alexander 2nd commander... and I'm instructed by the general to show you all around, now I need all of you to follow me inside this vehicle so that I can show you all around." He spoke once again and Eliza could feel shivers down her spine.

Everyone seemed to be walking and got into the vehicle,  she was  the last to get in,  she got to seat infront and that's when she got a view of the man that had been talking for sometime.

"This is where all of you are going to be treating our men." He said at first but when he turned around his gaze fell on   Eliza, she couldn't help but feel bewildered by how stunning this man truly was,  his muscles was bulging through his thin clothes with his rugged  well defined sculpted face , a few scars crossed on his face close enough to his eyes and just a neat trim of beared he was growing on his face, his dark intense eyes locked on hers and she couldn't help but feel extremely nervous.

He didn't seem to stop staring at her, he kept on talking and explaining things around that even Eliza at once didn't listen to,  because of the way he kept giving her all of  his attention.

He fixed his heavy intimidating gaze on her and Eliza did try to look elsewhere but whenever she did  turn around to his front he just kept on staring at her, it almost seemed like he was glaring at her.

No one else in the vehicle seemed to have  noticed the commander inappropriately staring at her for far  too long because they were busy taking in the sight of their environment and were exactly they would be working for the next one month.

"This is were you all will be camping and will have some men guarding were you sleep." He said still maintaining his heated gaze on poor Eliza by now she was blushing.

Why is he looking at me like that.

He still was ramping on about  whatever he was saying and Eliza was praying for him to finish so that she could start doing what she came here for, never in her life did anyone intimidate her like this.

"So Alexander" a doctor called out his name but Alex looked already irritated.

"It's commander to you." He finally took off his gaze from Eliza and shot  a glare towards the man that mentioned his name, the man out of fear  immediately cleared his throat because he got nervous.

"Oh I apologize, commander when do we start treating our patients." He cleverly asked and everyone on the vehicle couldn't help but to agree but  Eliza kept mute probably because of her heart beating fast.

"Tomorrow" was all he said.

He seemed to have stopped staring at Eliza again and she was relieved

"All of you should have some rest you will join in with the other medics by tomorrow." The vehicle stopped and he was the first to come down with the rest also coming down.

The fourth commander came by also

"Commander June will show the female to their tents and the men will follow me." He said giving Eliza one last final stare that caused her to look down at her feet blushing hard, she couldn't maintain eye contact with him.

"Ok ladies follow me." Commander June announced she was a petite soldier, Eliza couldn't help but wonder that she was so small and cute but still noticed her age she appeared to be In her forties she also noticed her badges and knew she must be one of the important soldiers here, the female soldier led them to where they were going to be camping for the next one month.
